By doing the jigging by hand, one cut at a time, would give me the ability to be more detailed, even if the cutter is not the same as the original.
I do have a few sets of Schrade bone handles that were never put on a knife.
They are not the peach seed jigging, but a later pattern from Schrade Walden I believe.

Dale, I saw a GEC made Fire & Ice series Schrade knife a little while back that had kind of dark brown colored bone handles on it, and the jigging looked closer to the old Schrade peach seed jigging than anything I've seen tried before. It wasn't a dead ringer of the old Schrade peach seed jigging by no means, but a person can tell that GEC sure made a very good effort at imitating it. It was a very nice knife too. There's a funny story that goes with this. The older man that owned that Gec made Fire & Ice Schrade was OVER JOYED and not too bashful about pulling it out of his pocket and showing it to anyone and everyone that he could. That's how I got to see it. I tried to buy it but boy that was a mistake of the worst kind. That man started telling me about the knife in a regular talking pitched voice. The more he talked, the louder he got. He said that Schrade and their employees made an agreement (a 1 week agreement) to go back to work at the Schrade factory for that small amount of time (1 week) to make a "Special Schrade Appreciation" knife for all of Schrade's loyal hard core customers of years past. The amount of knives that were made in that 1 week production are the very last original Schrade made knives and they weren't parts knives that were put together with left over parts, according to him. Now I thought my attempt to buy his knife was a mistake, wrong. A man standing in a small bunch of us guys listening like we all were caught the knife owner in between words taking a breath of air and said "That knife was made by GEC and had the Schrade name put on it". Dear God! I thought the knife owner's head was going to blow off. He got so upset and began screaming bloody murder at that guy in the small bunch that it honestly had me and some others thinking he was really going to stroke out right there. The only way we got him to calm down was to have the guy that said that to tell the knife owner that he made a mistake about his knife, and that it was an original Schrade knife, made by Schrade. There was no way anyone was going to convince him differently. I got the hell out of there as fast as I could before I was possibly arrested for assisted man slaughter if that old feller had a heart attack. I'd never seen nothing like that before in my life and I aint no spring chicken. I would have never thought anyone could get that bent out of shape over something so little. If there has ever been a ultimate hard core Schrade loving man, that was the guy. I'll make sure that I make a wide path around that man if I ever see him again, any where.

Aimus,
Wow! What a story! Some people just can't take it when someone disagrees with them.
Bernard Levine always says, "Read the knife". It seems to me that that fellow listened to the story, and forgot to read the knife.

Not too old, about 25 years maybe. A NIB example, one I've been hunting for a long time.
It is the 3rd in a set known as "The Missing Uncle Henry's"

Now THAT'S a fairly uncommon set Hal!
I'm going to go a little against the grain here and post a mighty beat up old Schrade/Shapleigh DE. Gotta give the downtrodden a little limelight too ya know! I'm gonna see if I can't clean it up a bit tonight:

I think it is safe to say this one is not much newer than 1968, Strange it's been out all that time and the Miricle Whip hasn't spoiled yet. Darn fine preservatives. Damn, I just noticed that Miracle Whip is same age as My Brother 77 this year.

Now, don't get carried away, Eric. Leave enough patina befitting its age!!
I had a friend who's 76 year old grandma painted big red lips on herself!!
Bizarre to say the least.
Real pennies are not shiny - for long!!
Not cleaned, but well preserved, here's its Schrade brother.
Both rare knives! I think fartsmella has one also.

Now Charlie, you know mw better'n that!
You've got a real beauty there, I'll tell ya that!
Moss, nice one! A person could get a decent collection going with those knives, I think Schrade made them at least four different years, VERY cool

Just received a schrade Walden 182-know very little about this model. Does anyone have any info to share about this knife? I am unable to post a picture but the knife is a single blade with black smooth scales. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Had a bunch of numbers written on a paper with it 1903 8492 1466

Have not seen one in years. I think it may be a type of grafting or budding knife. Just my recollection. I believe it had a sheepsfoot as only blade.

You are correct about the blade-it is indeed a single sheepsfoot. You mention a budding knife it is similar to the 175. At any rate thanks for your knowledge! Kind of an odd ball knife-looks lonely with just that one blade!

K7K, I've got to say that last sleeveboard is definitely my favorite, what a beauty!
Here's a little update on that super fouled DE jack, with before and after pics. Man were those backsprings rusty! Especially around the cap bolster. I was going to re-profile the blade to get rid of the fleabites, but seeing as that will forever alter the original shape, I think I'll just keep it as is unless I decide to EDC it. Nice walk and talk on her now, with sweet half stops to boot!:

Much more presentable, Eric!
Nice job of keeping the patina

!
I feel your dilemma also, about putting an edge on it! I agree with waiting - you can't put it back.

A while back I showed my Redbone Walden trapper. I just found a brother to it, a Redbone Serpentine Jack! Here they are - a re-union!

Nice twins Charlie. I was hoping for a bone handle on this last find, but the bovine gods were not with me.
It is kind of an oddball, but we're talking Schrade Walden knives so maybe not.
It has no pattern number on the back of the tang.

It appears to be typical Delrin, kind of a dark red. No two-tone effect on the sides of the handles. The 36OT was similar, but they placed a sheepsfoot secondary on that pattern. I guess the pattern number is up for grabs. Anyone else got one of these? 3 5/16" medium stock.
This one was not used but abused. I had a hell of a time getting the blades open, but with a little Remington oil, they're snapping like a turtle now. This one will get a few pocket rides.
