Great shot Squach. I like how the snow on the sides fades to white out. Cool stump with that saddle of snow. Good eye for picking the backdrop.

I always enjoy this thread, the knives are always great and the backgrounds are interesting as well. I just read the Queen ad shown in Scott's picture, for $2 you could get a #11. and for $4 you could have a #82 fixed blade. I was about 6 years old back then, wages were probably at the point where $2 was several hours of work. I don't remember the year but remember my dad as a mechanic making 50 cents an hour at the 50/50 Garage in Orlando, Florida. ::uc::
Thanks for including that background, Scott! ::handshake::

FFF, Redden, great shots, great info. Like those.
While no info, I had some cool low light shots of this today. The thing glows in low light. I can see why a farmer who might drop his knife in the barn or field or woods would like the color. So bright it stands out against most anything. And usualy gets a compliment.

Very nice photos, Ivoryman and Redden. You fellows sure have some great knives.

Scott - that knife and catalog are a great combination! I had to enlarge the photo so I could read the goose recipe.

Thanks Ivoryman.

I keep looking for interesting backdrops along the trails where I walk Ol' Muffin Head. I had the surprising good fortune to see a pair of Bald Eagles on our walk today. They were fishing in the big creek (I don't know why they call it a creek, it's a small river) that is fed by the little stream in my photo. I tried to get a picture but they were too far away for my little pocket camera.

Beautiful Marbles Kirs! ::tu:: That's gotta' be a custom sheath. I really like the way it extends in the front to protect the handle from the inner snap hardware.
Thanks!, I like that style of sheath with a small double guard. Claude Scott from Walla Walla made that one, one of the best around.
