I think I'm seeing a trend that I seem to win the auctions I don't really care about.
As a bottom-feeder, I will often put in a snipe bid on a knife that isn't on my "want list", but is going to close in the next 8 hours and seems like a good deal. They are my "why not?" bids. For many of these, the bidding surpasses my snipe bid long before my snipe time, and the bid never happens. This morning I woke-up to find I had won 3 of my "why not?" knives! Total cost for the 3 knives was only $42, so under $15/knife. They are:
Camillus 14
Buck 704
Imperial Jack (not sure what this pattern is called?)
Here's the seller's picture of the Imperial - I just thought the slim pattern was a bit different and cool - if this pattern doesn't already have a name, I will christian it a "Pen Jack".

I found this little guy (gal?) today. I have nothing like it, so of course, I had to get it. Wish the blades were in a little better shape, oh well.
Anyone have a estimated date on this one?

BWT, I like that one! What is the approximate age? Does it have a lock? I can't find that one in my limited resources.
KleenCut61, that one looks like it was tipped and then put away, no wear on those beautiful handles. Are you going to reshape them or leave it alone?
Great finds, I haven't found anything but 'skeeters while disking a small field today.
Tomorrow is the 1st day of the 2day, Flea across Florida Yard Sale, maybe I'll find a good one like the y'all shared today.

Thanks TF, the best I can tell it was made between 1919-1937, but maybe someone else might know more about it. The lock does work. I didn't know about the Florida yard sale, I have always wanted to do the 127 yard sale in August. I was fighting a couple of skeeters this morning out in my driveway.

BWT, the "Flea across Florida" is along Us Highway 90 from Live Oak to Pensacola, spring and fall. Fall being September and it's way too hot to enjoy.
'Skeeters are just part of life in the rural Panhandle, some of the towns spray for them in the evenings but not this early in the year. We have some healthy ones:
- Here's one drillin' for oil on the back of my hand, right before disaster struck!

I always heard the saying, "Skeeters bigger'un Gallynippers", then I found out this morning that Gallynippers are skeeters.
Who knew? That one looks like the state bird of Florida.

Picked up this one two weeks ago. It had been bitten by the celluloid bug and it took me two weeks to get it this far. Not something I would normally buy, but it was so cheap and had been like that for a couple of years. I figured I would rescue it. Have never taken a knife apart, so gave it a shot, like it is.Wanted to throw it out in the backyard a couple times. It is a Coutel, Sheffield, Eng, other than that don't know much about it yet.
