Picked up another nice Empire, 3 3/8" jack with great stag, full blades with a very faint Empire Brand etch. Love how stag goes bolster to bolster unlike modern knives. Also has a wrap around spring, not all that common.

John I've got one just like that but I think the stag on yours is simply outstanding! Congrats on a real beauty!

Thanks to Roger was able to add another nice Empire to the sheepsfoot jack collection, a curved jack in ebony with a "For New England Whalers" etch. I would think this one dates late 1800's early 1900's.

I see why the stag is dark on the farmers jack Ken Erickson made Charlie to match Empire's stag.

John, that is an extremely attractive piece of cutlery, love that pattern and those bolsters with ebony.
