Thanks Dale. I recognized the signature on the etch as the same one on the scrim series knives. But no, no COA or anything.

I have shown this before but since Frank Giorgianni's name came up I thought I would show it.
This was a knife scrimshawed several years ago by Frank for a few of us in BF's Schrade Forum.
It is on one of the stockman patterns Schrade made for the Scrimshaw series.
In the Schrade series the pictures were hot stamped and inked.
On this knife Frank did the actual scrimshaw.
Here is the COA Frank made to go with the knife.
Shortly after he finished them his son said Frank decided he would not be doing any more knives, due to health issues.
I was very glad I got one of his knives!

Thanks Dale, we had a great day today. Although didn't find any knives worth buying. I guess most folks sell them online these days. Ran across one Utica knife store case but it had a lot of damage and they were proud of it.

It was the smaller version about 12" by 14", slightly slanted in the front and door and shelf in the back, where the stock was kept ya know.

I just bought this Schrade scrimshaw wildlife set from the Bay. I am shipping it directly to a nephew so I won't have it to make my own photo.
This picture is from eBay.

Here are a few pictures of an old Schrade I picked up at a pawn shop in North East Texas. I am not sure how old but maybe some of you can shed some light on it for me.

I think it is a 835Y.It was made between 1973 -1975.The one's before 1973 would have Schrade Walden and the one's after 1975 should have Schrade USA

Hope this helps.

Ken the seller had it listed for $196 US and said he would post for $14 US.
So what was a knife collector going to do.
Buy it and get into trouble. It was worth the trouble as I only have one other IXL Schrades.

I looked at that one too.
I had to stop buying, wile trying to take a collector into selling me an old 8OT.
After 3 or 4 months he let me have his OLD "Old Timer 8OT" it's 54 years old.
I have over 30 8OTs mostly in un-opend boxes and tubes.
However, this is the one I have been looking for over the past 20 years.
