Thanks guys
In keeping with the NYK knives I have been posting here is something a bit different. Salesman would send out notices that they were on their way to prospective buyers before going to see them. I am always on the lookout for them. These two I bought years apart, years ago. One is from a salesman for Electric Cutlery and the other is from a salesman from NYK co. 10 years apart but the same salesman!! Go figure. The 4-blade knife on the right is an Electric Cutlery NJ knife and the 5 blade is a NYK co knife. Calling card are on top.
Those are the coolest pieces of cutlery I've ever seen!!
That’s some amazing history !

Thanks guys
Here is the last one from the group of 7 that I was able to get and a picture of all of them in the display case. Knife is 3 3/4" closed and has INK!!! Always love the etch and ink. This is my favorite of the 7!! No brass on the knife, nickel silver liners and pins.
WOW!

You can't touch that!

... ...

Looks like

... It's "Hammer Time"

This stockman has a "Hammer Brand" tang stamp. Is it New York Knife co. knife? It seems the Imperial knives using the hammer brand stamp also have a "USA" on the stamp as well.

This one has seen a lot of use and abuse, but it feels like such a solid knife all these years later and still has some life left in it...

it has four blades,

would it still be a stockman?

Here's some left over knife parts from the New York Knife Co.
I bought a bunch of this stuff a few years ago, blades, handles, springs, pin stock, etc.
Check out the spiral punches!

Many years ago I bid on a knife on ebay. It was a 3 3/8" closed NYK with gutta percha handles and filework on the liners. The handles were really cool in design. At the time you could see who was bidding on items on ebay and there were a couple of guys that would be hard to beat if they wanted a knife. I was beat out on the knife from one of these guys from Ohio. I ended up staying in touch with him through the years and he is no longer buying on ebay. I have always asked if he would sell the knife to me and he always politely declines. Well one just like it came up for sale and I was able to get it. Love the darn thing, very beefy made knife and only the second one I've ever seen.

The first original official Boy Scout knives were a 2 blade easy opener and a 4 blade traditional style scout with very large bails .
When I get a chance I can post pictures if you like ?
The one Roger posted is a rare pattern but definitely not the original knife .
