Today I received my March 2024, NRA's, American Rifleman magazine.
I love the cover and thought I'd share. I haven't read the article yet.
Click on the picture to ENLARGE.
It'd be hard not to like that cover wouldn't it?

The Sig saw two weeks every night of dry fire and 400 rounds down the tube

The night sites are taking sum time to get use to.I don't like them for day shooting,I should be able to adapt
The mags are hard to load so I gut a Uplula and my thumbs are thanking me.I can use the Uplula for all my semi's.

Those UpLULA loaders are great! I have given them as gifts to several friends. One of those small things that make life easier.

True or false. Some SIG 320 lawsuits going on Alec Baldwin style.
Have about 9 SIG slide guns. No strikers. Not my bag but to each his own. Love my SIGs. All external hammers. Most are SA/DA. Never had a failure to function. Ever.

What do you mean by Baldwin style??
Most of my semi's are Smiths ,I am liking the P365 and I see a P320 in the future once they figure out there problems.

Me, too! Bought a P365 striker once but since no hammer, just had to let it go. No failures, ever.

I was at a show earlier today and a little S&W model 60 called my name from across the aisle. I just couldn't walk away without it.
Some of you who are more familiar with this model, can I use +P ammo in it?

As in Alec Baldwin as I stated. Look up the movie "Rust" where he claims he never pulled the trigger on an old cowboy 45 and killed the cinematographer and wounded the assistant producer when a live round was present where it shouldn't be. Claims he did not pull the trigger.
The link has previous and current lawsuits against SIG for accidental discharges on the SIG 320. No offense dogg but if true, accidental discharges is beyond "once they figure out their problems " for me. They are stating holstered gun, no trigger pull and a big unexpected bang and expelled hot lead landing where you don't want it. Also, drop a certain way and bang.
Again, trust my life to SIG. Nine semi autos in six different calibers. All have exposed hammers. No other makers do I own in semi auto. We all do it different. To each his own. Just not a striker fire fan personally. If others love them, I respect that. Just not for me.
A big part of my not liking strikers is I like seeing hammer state. Also, they are DA only. Like my hammered SIGS, where first shot is DA, followed by all SA with decocking lever, if needed.
Nice S&W revolver Ray!

I've got a couple striker fired pistols never had a problem with either of them. The oldest one is a 1910 Mauser.
Congrats on the Nice looking S&W Ray.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind words. I think it is a neat little carry-type pistol. I'll load it up with some wadcutters for a safer round. I'll likely rotate it with my Sig P938 for daily carry.

It appears to be one of the newer models with the slightly longer cylinder, stainless? If so +p is fine. What is the dash - number?

Boji,
So far as I can tell, there is no dash number. It is only stamped MOD. 60. I tried to find the date of manufacture on line but could not git 'er done. If you have access to a chart, the serial number is R153XXX and I would surely appreciate any info.

OOps. it isn't isn't factory rate for +P ammo but most consider it to be OK, just not 1000's of rounds. Smith & Wesson records serial number by Ship date and the only way to get an exact date is to pay like $100 for a factory letter. But comparing your SN with a few other confirmed numbers would put the Ship Date to be early 1976.

Ray, for several weeks I have been looking for a snubbie with hammer for daily carry. You found it. But I am inspired to keep looking.

Qualified annually with +P ammo in my mod 60 for 2 decades. Sucker would get so hot you couldn't touch it but no damage.

Isn't a model 60 a 357 mag?

Not this one. It is clearly marked as a 38. I suspect there is a 357mag version. This one was made from 1969 to, or thru, 1972 according to a book I found at the show today.

No. S&W does not recommend it. It is not one of the magnum frames.
