All About Pocket Knives

You done good! I can see all 3 of 'em and they are some interesin' knives. Bud Brand is new to me.
Just sent a Christmas card to a cousin in Winter Haven.

Thanks, we retired here in 2014. Bud was made in Winsted, Ct. 1922 according to Goins, I was lucky on that one it was unused, thanks for the reply. Bill

Here are some photos of others I accumulated over the weekend.
Top photo is a Case Mako, MIB.
Next 2 are Schatt & Morgans. These are really nice knives.
Last photo is a 'covey' of Battle Axe knives and I hope we have someone here who can tell me about these. They are each serial number 208 so clearly this must be some sort of a set. Not sure when they came out or what they might have sold for.

I'm new to knife collecting, if I haven't read it in a book lately I don't know anything about these, they are some beautiful knives, really nice. Thanks for sharing. Bill

Ray, the Battle Ax set of knives are listed in the 5th edition of "The Standard Knife Collector's Guide" by Roy Ritchie and Ron Stewart. They say very little about them and give no information as to date when they were issued. They call them the "Folding Hunter Series" and give them a collector value of $400 for the entire set of six (you have the full set). They say "each knife commemorates an idea, profession, or subject". The book was published in 2007.

Not so much a find as a re-discovery. Doing some reorganizing and "re-discovered" this Cold Steel Arc Angel. Did not realize the values have gone crazy on these. Good surprise!

I picked up this Frontier 4622 folding hunter at a gunshow yesterday for a few bucks. Does not look like it has ever been used, a few spots on the main blade to work out. These big folding hunters are one of my favorites. Did not have a belt sheath with it, I don't know if this came with one or not. Probably did as the size is too big for the pocket.

Nice, looks good, especially for a few bucks.

Ray I believe those Battle axe knives were contracted by J.W. Hickey from the Olbertz factory in Solingen between 1975-85.

Here are some shots of knives I picked up at the show this weekend. I had posted this originally in the 'Mail Call' section and I probably should have put it here.
1st photo and starting from the top there is a Case Saddlehorn (2009), Remington Model 1100 big trapper, Ka-Bar Cotton Sampler, Buck 100 Year Knife, Winchester Toothpick, Gonzo Tactical, NRA Outdoors Knives and a Bulldog Wharncliffe Muskrat.
In the 2nd photo are 3 Buck knives; a 119, a 102 and a 117.
Anyone know anything about the NRA knife? It is also marked Steigerwalt Design in addition to NRA Outdoors Knives?

Just scored these from a local pawn shop....

I've been wanting an inexpensive Buck to carry. I got this 303C new and was disappointed to see how dull the shield is. Looks like it wasn't finished or no attention to detail.

Jmarkpier11 the buck 300's like that all have dull shields, I think it's due to their status as no nonsense work knives.

Thank you. Yes, I do like it and the dull shield isn't a deal breaker for me since I will actually be using it for work, it just sort of surprised/disappointed me a little.

It is unused. The brass is tarnished from being stored in its leather case/belt sheath.
