That deer looks like he is starting a new set. There are some amazing time lapse photos on the internet of farm raised deer showing antler growth.

Wow Scott! Those are cool! Me & a friend went looking for baby gators once in a Orange plantation in Oak Hill, Fl. Ended up getting chased by two or three dogs and a farmer with a shot gun yelling that we were stealing his Oranges.

I use the Trace Mineral Salt Block from Tractor Supply -- they eat the dirt after the block melts,more than they lick em -- I also scatter a 50lb. bag of the same trace mineral salt around the stump

Gdogg, how do y'all prepare and cook a Salmon? We don't have land locked Salmon in this part of the world. I see you caught him on a fly rod.

Here's a fun little project idea for putting small antlers to good use. All ya need is an antler, a small stainless steel rod about one to two foot in length, a drill, maybe a grinder or a file will do & some stronge universal glue.

1) If possible, use a grinder or file to make a somewhat pointy tip on one end of the SS rod.(second picture)
2) Measure the thickness of the rod and find a drill bit just slightly thicker than the SS rod.
3) Drill a hole in your antler. A vise comes in handy.
4) Apply glue to the antler hole & the rod. You can use a grinder or file to give the inserted part of the rod a rougher surface.
5) Insert the rod, wipe off any excess glue & wait to dry.(One or two more points holds more poles.)
6) Go Fishin!
(And..., these would also make nice gifts. Or..., you could sell them. )

Working from home for both school and church I’ve been glued to the computer 24/7 for weeks now, so last week I took a break from as much online stuff as I could, except the church videos. Me and my oldest (14) took a few walks through the back part of our place. Here are some pics. And yes, I realize the prematurely white beard does look rather handsome!

Thank you very much for the pleasant photos, Colonel. Just the other day I cut off my beard because it did not come in looking like yours which I was hoping to achieve.

I can’t decide whether to let mine grow and go for the Old Testament prophet look or trim it a bit.

She who must be obeyed declared a long time ago that I MUST have facial hair of some sort, either a beard or goatee. She said I’m too baby faced and look too young with out it and that I HAVE to look older than her. Lol.

Great pictures Wade! Thought I could join in and kill two birds with one stone. 1st your facial hair looks good. I have let my beard go untrimed since we started having church on Facebook. Every Saturday night I would trim my whiskers and shave my neck and a little bit on the cheek bones so I wouldn't look too raggedy on Sunday morning. This along with a high tight hair cut every 3 or 4 weeks kept me in the good graces of most folks.

Well the 2 bird deal is this, we ground and vacuum packed 50 pounds of pure red venison this afternoon for burger. Sharing this in the Outdoorsman thread you can see my unkempt look and also a few pictures of our little project. We still have a large amount of venison trimmings to make sausage in a week or so.
