Picked up.....
VERY nice acquisitions Floyd!

I have the same, exact, Rite Edge. It too has the box. I removed it from my "72" variation collection because it actually has more of a stockman, "serpentine" shape to it than a "swelled center" shape. It also measures just slightly short of 3 5/8" closed. You can see the difference in the body shapes in your last picture of all three of the pocket knives. You can also feel the difference in the shapes. Run your finger along the handle of a swelled center. Your finger slowly goes up, hits the "swell" and then slowly goes down. Do the same thing to the Rite Edge, completely different feel. Just my opinion my friend.

I agree with your evaluation Skip. I meant to mention it is 1/8 inch shorter than the 72's but forgot to. Not a clone but a 2nd cousin.

Rite Edge pics.
Nice looking group. Love the Yellow Jacket. The Craftsman is tough to find in any kind of decent shape. Great finds all.

The 2001 Remington R14 Show Knife came in last week. So adding it to my 72 Clones group. The blades were really stiff, so added some Tuff Glide and worked them a bit. They snap now. I believe this knife sit in the original box and plastic sleeve and was never exercised much, and I still (just in my opinion) really don't trust keeping knives in a plastic sleeve which some knife makers are famous for sealing their knives in. But I digress. Here is a couple of photos. One taken outside and one taken inside. I took the one inside because I could never get the blade etch to show up outside for some reason.

The 2001 Remington.....
Smitty, That is one VERY good looking CAMILLUS 72 variation.

So, there appears to be 5 Remington variations.
The hunt continues.

I'm gonna post this under the "Is It?" category. I Found this last week and believe it could be a "72 Clone" depending on how accurate you want to be in length. According to my measurements it is just a Hair over 1/16th inch shorter than the Camillus 72 and most other clones. It is also a little wider. It is an Imperial Schrade Imp24 swell center whittler with Cracked Ice handles.

I added these to my Camillus 72 Clones group over the last 12 days. All are a variation I did not have.
First, a Camillus 1047 BSA Swell Center Whittler with the Round BSA Shield, & Delrin handles. It has the Camillus long line tang stamp.
Next Is a Remington R14W with the multi-colored wood handles. It has the round Remington Shield, Round Remington Made In USA tang stamp, and Remington etch on the main blade. It came in the original box, with paperwork and was in the original plastic sleeve.
Last Is A Remington RE18293 Swell Center Whittler With Black handles. It has the oval Remington Shield, with cursive "Remington USA" tang stamp. It does not have a blade etch and the model is not stamped on any of the other blades. This one came in the original plastic sleeve with the tag with barcode and model number on the sleeve. The seller didn't have the original box, but did include a newer green Remington box.

I added these.....
Smitty, with the exception of the first knife that you posted, it's too short, they are ALL fine looking and legitimate CAMILLUS 72 variations.

I have one similar to that first knife you posted and it too is just a tad off on the measurement. I removed it from my variation collection.

It also has a pen blade instead of the coping blade, the swell center is not pronounced enough to suit me and the bolsters are too bullet shaped. Picky. Picky. Picky.

To me the shortness is partially in the way they ground down the rear bolster. It's definitely not concentric going to the bottom. I was also set back on their choice of blades, Especially the smaller clip blade. It is also a lot thicker with thicker back springs. But I mainly posted it just for critique from you guys.
