Steve it does very well! The shield contains the lock so you just mash down on the shield to open or close the blade, no assisted opening or any thing like that. The knife feels good in hand.

Man o man those are some great knives, I can understand that being a favorite JNB beautiful knife.

There are some shinny, and very pretty knives in this thread so I'll add one that I just posted in the "In the mail" thread.
It's a 1980 ish Simmons (Japan) Ol' Ern lockback.

Here's another Japan-made brand you don't see all that often and which generally doesn't get the credit it deserves for overall quality and fit & finish. This one has scrimshawed ivory micarta handle scales that seem to be showing signs of age and/or storage wear but the blade is pristine with original factory edge..

This is the #2120 Macho that I have in my signature. I bought it for 11 bucks with the missing scale, and I found something very interesting the other night.
I have a Rough Rider Tobacco bone Double Take Trapper I bought a few weeks ago, and the bone color/grain is so close, and the RR bone is so big that I now have my missing scale.
for 12 bucks I have four spare blades, and enough bone to handle three knives. (the Kershaw, and two pen knives or similar size)

Maybe I should have said "All in".
The RR is just a stock Pict. I didn't take one of mine yet so the bone color is not as close as mine is.

This just came in this week's mail...Northwoods Swing Guard with a Gladstone Mich tang stamp in Tortoise Shell Acrylic . There's a lot more red in this than I'm used to seeing...a real eye catcher

Amazingly, I just purchased a Kershaw Macho 2120 and a Honcho 2110 (still waiting for them to arrive) and was tempted to get this Little Stud 2105 as well, but I had to draw the line somewhere. The 2015 looks to have the same bone color as is on your 2120. It would seem you got a killer deal only paying $11 for yours. Apparently having both scales really increases the value significantly.

I've seen two 2120's sell over 100.00 on Fleabay since I purchased mine so yeah... $11.00 knife plus a $12.00 scale equals 80.00 in some strange universe... I'm kind of diggin' the math here!

Here's an old AG Russell that grows on me with time. Everything about this one is perfect and smooth and like it should be. Felt like having it on me today.

I think I am becoming a stag freak. (that sounds odd...)

I'm still taking bad pictures, and I don't have many knives photographed (because of that) but I do have me little beater.
It's one of those Pakistan, Damascus lock backs that sell for 20 bucks.
It's heavy, strong, and fit's my hand to a "T".
While I know there are millions of real nice knives around, I like carrying this one.

As long as it gets the job done (whatever it may be) and you like it, that's all that matters.

The main job these two will have is to stay sharp and look pretty, so, mission accomplished!

Picked up another lock back that I think deserves a spot in this thread. I really love the silky smooth action on AG Russell knives in general, and this little (3 1/8") jigged orange bone drop point LB is no exception.

Thanks, gino, I admit I do have somewhat of a sweet tooth for the clean, uncluttered, unadorned, unembellished, minimalist aesthetic.

BTW...there is another smooth white bone Kershaw Big Joe currently for sale on eBay, in case anyone is interested. It still has a few days remaining on the auction, but so far the price has stayed relatively low with only two bidders in the game. It's a very nice, well-made knife. (I paid over $100 for mine and I feel it's worth every penny.)
