Few surpass this, or maybe I should have said, few excel this. Just my biased opinion.

Mama's out of town this weekend. Hope she doesn't find out I'm cheatin' on her...bacon wrapped dove, T-bone and a pile of seasoned fries. i should have taken the picture...before I ate half the plate and reassembled it for my knife friends. Ha! Here's to the weekend...from South Texas...been waiting on some nice weather, like tonight!

I polished the tang, what I could get to, with a slip of stone to get the action smooth. ('ve had to do that to other S&Ms, also.) Except for that, I don't have any other complaint about it. I'm accustomed to Canoes so I don't even notice the blade rub. It has absolutely no wobble & strong snaps. And it looks as good as the UN-X-LD did sitting in that same spot a couple of days ago (I think).

Two good looking knives geocash. I've always liked Queens amber carved stag scales and you have two fine examples. ::tu::

Cool background too geocash, like the shot. I saw your two plastic Bucks in the "What's your fav EDC, what are you carrying now" thread. Ever think of re-handling them? Glennbad and Muskratman and Orvet from here on AAPK do such things, you can see their work in many threads here and it's excellent. Bone, wood, horn, ivory, man made or whatever. They make plain jane plastic knives look custom beautiful. Just a thought.

Ivoryman,
"Just a thought" but a good one. I've sent off a knife to have scales replaced, but don't expect it back for another month or two. This'll be my first experience with that and with Muskrat Man. I've bought a knife from the Oregon Veteran & can figure out how to contact him & probably can figure out how to contact Glennbad, too. That's good because maybe one will beautify the Buck & (opinions are welcome) I have a Schrade-Walden 880 KON-KAV that appears unused &, on one hand, has the best-looking Delrin scales I've ever had but, on the other hand, it has Delrin scales. I had something more like peachseed jigged brown bone in mind. Thanks for your time & thoughts.

My old Case XX 06247PEN. It is one of my favorites because of the single backspring (very slim in the pocket).

Sorry to boar you with more leaves but they just keep coming, new colors all the time, and I like the backdrop that fades quick and is gone
