All About Pocket Knives

You've done well again, an interesting bunch of knives. I've been noticing some comments about the Sabre knives here on AAPK.
Here's the 5OT that I got Tuesday. I've cleaned it up using your procedure. The tension required to release the lock on this one is pretty strong, in fact uncomfortably strong.

Who made the little Ebony handled paring knife below the Saber trapper? Interesting knife.

Found a new China boker and a used boker plus and a ole old timer.

Here are the knives I found this week. The ones on the left are some work knives I picked up at a junk shop and friend owns. The green one is a commercial electricians knife, the red Swiss looking knife is a 7 blade Colonial, USA made with High Carbon steel, 2 Leathermans. The knives on the right are from my knife club include a Keen Kutter cattle knife, a 4 blade Wadsworth & Son, Germany, a New York Knife peanut, a Bay Ridge pen, and a Remington lobster excellent unsharpened. All the pearls have perfect pearl on them. ____Dave

Great "haul" at the knife club meeting Dave ... nice to find so many MOP knives in that condition !!!

Yeah, it's got great snap and the bone is real clean all around. The guy I bought it from found it in a pile og knives someone at a show was selling for $5 each. I paid $40 and was happy to get it for that. I didn't even pick it up off his table because I thought it was one of those "Made in USA" stamped knives, and I have a couple of them. Joe, the Remington was actually the worst one of the group because the blade has some pits and the pearl pins are lose on the back scale. It sure has nice pearl though,______Dave

Pawn shop finds......They're getting to know me at these shops!! It's fun!

Picked this up today.Schrade Clip Hanger Viper still in the package with accessories.Says Made in the USA.Anyone familiar with this knife? Paid $17 for it.

Schrade was still selling those Clip Hangers in 2004, when they closed down.
Clip Hangers sold from the late 1990's - RRP in 2004 $30 to $38.

I like the 'Vice-Grip' looking tool piece. I do not have access to shops really, but I know the feeling from online vendor's. Nothing like having knife hunters 'know you'...

Just arrived today!

ANTIQUE VOM CLEFF ADVERTISING KNIFE "HUDSONIL" COMPLIMENTS OF OF THE DANUBIL CO.

Knife opens very smoothly and easily, by pinching disc and twisting. No rings needed after all!

I traded a 1970's John Primble stockman for this Cattaraugus I guess it's a jack knife , today. Took this pic outside but handles are a lighter brown than the pic shows , the tablet I use don't take very good pic's.

Very nice cigar jack, Delmar. You don't see too many easy-open cigar jacks like that and the master blade is nice and full. The handles are bone, yes?

Found 5 knives plus a block with about 20 misc. butcher knives at an auction today.. Folders inckude a old Rigid lock back, a Olsen Ltl. critter, a Buck 379 (China) a Marbles (China) and a Boker-Matic. ____Dave
