Take a good look at this picture. This is my brother Gary and his wife Dee and they are on the Russian River several months ago.
What's wrong with this picture?

Bears must not be hungry. I'd be a little nervous with bears in the background.

Those bears are hungry ... which is why they are in that river, fishing.

Did a little duck hunting up on Currituck Sound earlier this week, a bit slow but we did bag some ducks. Always pretty to be on the water (fishing or hunting). Think I’m going to go fishing off the dock in a few minutes - house is decorated for Christmas, been to the store and bought the food for Christmas, just waiting now for our daughter and son-in-laws visit tomorrow evening. OH

Thanks David. That was actually sunrise on Tuesday morning - the old saying, ‘red sky at night sailors delight, red sky at morning sailor take warning’ proved to be correct! OH

As we returned home from visiting friends in Santa Barbara on Sunday, we stopped at one of our many beaches we enjoy.
The entrance to this beach is somewhat secluded and seldom visited by anyone. You can park approximately 1/4 mile away, follow the train tracks to a small path which will eventually take you to the Pacific.

We encountered a crew of riders from the "Summer Land Farm" horse rental.

Summer Land Farm is located in the small beach town of Summerland, in the County of Santa Barbara, California. It is owned by horse trainer Charlie Picerni, a rider and trainer for over 25 years. Over the years, Charlie has trained riders and horses in hunter jumpers, taken his team to National Competitions, and now continues his passion and love for horses in offering these exhilarating guided horseback rides.
Summer Land Farm has a variety off different horses for all riding levels. From beginner to advanced!

PRIVATE & GROUP RIDES in beautiful Santa Barbara County, CA
Summerland Beach Rides offers both private and group rides for riders of all ages, beginners to advanced.

BEACH:
The beach rides feature a variety of different sights, where you may see dolphins and whales as you ride along the edge of the pacific ocean and listen to the sound of the breaking waves at your feet, or should we say hooves.

TRAILS:
The rolling hills and coastal bluffs trail ride features breathtaking views of the ocean and lemon groves on the hills. You will ride through the hills of Summerland where you will see butterflies in the eucalyptus trees and an occasional hawk flying over head.

Thanks gents!

Old Folder, what a cool beach and the horses just add to it, love the way the outcropping rise just above the beaches there. OH
