Chicago Knife Works has the bow hunter RR2176 in stock for $11. I think mine arrived in 3 days for about $14 and change.
Yep, I just checked over there.

A little 31/4 inch Rough Rider, with that spelling, not Rough Ryder. It is a cheap but really nice little Ram Horn, and extremely sharp.
Hey, I've got one of those. Cute little bugger but mean as a Gar. It bit me twice before I put it away.
Those are sharp looking little knives. After seeing Jerry's fingers I am not too sure whether I want one myself. But that horn does look real good!
That Upswept Bow Trapper is an interesting knife. Very cool profile.

Olde Town Cutlery have Rough Rider 2176, i think they are the Upswept Bow Trapper's if any one is looking for one.
They do but they want $10 for shipping. Forget that.
$10 is pretty high for shipping a $17 dollar knife.
That knife store is about 10 miles from my house.
I would go there and get you one, but with my luck they would be sold out.
I called SMKW yesterday and they said they had ordered another shipment.
If you're on their email notifications you can get one from them. Tim.
There were quite a few posts when this knife was released how good everyone who had purchased thought they were. There was also a few posts from members who had missed out, and were asking about second runs and such. I saw these on said website yesterday morning when looking for something else and thought i would notify members who had missed out and were looking for one, they were there in stock. If you don't want to pay the postage don't, i was just giving people a heads up.

It's a pretty nifty little knife. I've seen people on YouTube saying they didn't think it was T10 carbon steel.

My Bow Trapper showed up in the mailbox today. Soft pull on it, you can "pinch" the blade but it does have snap. That's not a complaint, just an observation. I think because of the soft pull, the half-stop is a little soft as well.
I like it except for one thing and that's not a deal breaker. It just takes some of the shine off the knife. There's a gap between the back spring/blade tang and the liner. Not enough to make the blade wobble but still, it's there.

I've seen your beautiful garden pictures in Germany. You have the real thing.
Mine are just pictures.
Perhaps Rough Ryder can produce a "Scratch and Sniff" handle material?

WOW !
What a nice looking & very useful knife !
RR must have brought out close to 1000 different patterns & variations and nearly all of them are attractive and functional for specific tasks.
Does RR have just one person designing these knives or a 'design team' ? Whichever they deserve an award for "Overall Best Knife Designs".
Then whomever their manufacturer is for the traditional style folders does Top Notch work with a very low incidence of 'issues'.
And, all this for a very low retail price. For many of my RR folders if i had paid $50 i would still be happy with the knife i received for my $50.
My only concern is that nothing lasts forever. Rough Rider has been turning out high quality knives now for over 15 years. How much longer can they continue hitting out of the park home runs ?
This is why i cherish my "Long Rifle", Armor Hide" Trapper Series" Outdoorsman Series" and others. They are so darn well made and so consistently sharp, i worry they will not be able to live up to this standard 'forever'.
If you hunt, i urge you to choose one of your RR traditional style folders for your next deer/elk/moose/goat/antelope field dressing. I have done this a couple of times and been amazed by how easy & slick it all went.
If i worked as a bartender or server in a restaurant i would certainly get this Heart Disease Bartender knife. Heck, if i owned the business i would get one for every employee.

Thanks for the compliments kj and David.
RR seems to be full of great surprises.
I do not see many other knife manufacturers making new Bartenders Knives.

For those of you that missed out on obtaining the Bow Trapper in mid-late August, and you want to add the "Rough Ryder Upswept Bow Trapper" to your collection.
They are now restocked at SWKW.COM $12.99 each. Item # RR2176. However, you might want to act fast.
I just ordered a couple more for gifting.
If Rough Ryder participated in a "Knife Of The Year" program. The Bow Trapper would get my vote.

O.K., you got me again Rough Rider/Ryder. I just ordered one of these Upswept Bow Trapper knives to join the 200 or so other RR knives i have most of which are from about 5-13 years ago. I have not bought a RR for awhile but this one looks too good to pass up and it's only $13. It has black Micarta handles with red G-10 liners and with the saber ground blade with very pointy tip it is going to look very 'sharp'.
It is 3 7/8" closed so a bit smaller than the standard Trapper length of 4 1/8" but it still has a 3" blade.
I bet this will be a perfect knife to field dress a deer. I used an RR trapper years ago on a whitetail and was blown away by how easy and fast it all went.
If i am lucky and get to try this knife this Fall i will post about how it all went.
