Very nice my friend! These are our old # 4602, two blade jack knife..
The solid pin and bolster construction tells a bit about it's age!

The brown stain applied to the plastic handles varied for many years...
I would date these around the early 50's.....

thinking from the handles, maybe in the 30's

This very much looks like our old Colonial hatchet and knife combo!
I can't see the tang and many other company's made this type of camp combo's.
If it's a Colonial it's production date would be early 50's or 60's>

First one that I have ever saw like that Tripp.

I got a new hobo. The reason I posted these two to gather is they both have a PALCO,USA stamp. I have been told that Colonial never made this stamp but I'm inclined to believe they did. I have two of the Forest Master and one has PALCO,USA and one with COLONIAL,USA both with the Forest Master shield. I also have 3 of the Colonial hobos and 2 with the PALCO,USA stamp and all these knives are made identical and the tools on the Hobos are stamped,identical on both the Palco and Colonial.
Just thought it was neat bit of Colonial history.

Palco,I found,is a Camping equipment seller. They sold things like canteens and knives.

Here's a fun little knife I picked up at a garage sale

Now here's an oldie but goodie!!
The ole' baseball bat (the only thing missing is the chain and baseball) !!
We also made, the old bowling pin and chain with a small black bowling ball!
These were both made in the mid 60's to the early 70's..

So, so sad.....this thread has kinda puttered out with the passing of our dear friend (Bonfire Bob - aka Robert A. Paolantonio who left this world almost a yr. ago).

Last week I almost, alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllmost deleted an email because the sender name showing read: alpal

Hmmmmmmm Anyhow, I opened to find a message from Albert Paolantonio, Bobby's uncle! Yeah, second generation!
He wanted me to send him my address so he could send catalogs......I told him I'm not a seller of the new stuf.

I also inquired about the 3 blade electrician I scored last week with wood scales.
He claims the hawkbill blade was his idea.....and it was probably produced in the 60's.

It is so sad Scott but it seems that all the threads on this site, how do I say this but slow at best If you really look there are three or four regular contributers per thread, but I like you really enjoyed what this thread use to be I t use to be if you missed a nite on this site you missed a lot now we can tune in once a week and miss nothing

Just a couple new ones, an early arched stamp hardly used and one of the more unusual electricians
