All About Pocket Knives

Very nice, old Empire knives everyone! I picked this one up last week. It looks to be double stamped to me? The bail (spelled correct?) isn't original for sure. I believe someone drilled the hole themselves? I'm not very familiar at all with this brand so I really don't know? I love it though!!

Definitely not a commonly used handle material . Usually presentation pieces or special ordered .

Added an Empire ebony Jumbo jack this week, just over 4" and heavily built, still has some etch remaining, second word is definitely KING, first may be DREAM, anyone ever seen an Empire with DREAM KING?

I researched this before I bought it and Empire mad these for this hardware company in the late 1800s I believe...

Purchased this one from Roger. When I was getting ready to take pictures, this red and green tissue paper was laying around to be used for gifts, so I thought why not? I feel sorry for me, having to buy my own Christmas gift.

I agree with that blade etch, the "F" and "G" have been used away, but that's really nice regardless.

Beautiful knife Ike with my favorite blade combo, sheepdfoot jacks are not easy to find.

I thought the same thing Joe! When I seen a post from Greg in General Discussion, i came straight to the Empire thread!! Glad he is back. Miss seeing his fantastic cutlery and seeing his posts!

Sweet delicate stag Empire split spring Congress whittler, 3 1/4", hard to get blades open, firm pulls and the pulls are pretty much a suggestion. All blades marked Empire Knife Co. Wish I could have got it before it was cleaned, still I think it's quite interesting.
