Here's a nice old Girl Scout. The punch is tipped but not bad.

That clearly visable etch certainly makes up for a little chip off the punch. Very nice Wazu.

I picked up my first Ulster (and my first official Scout) on eBay for $7.99 with free shipping. I was the only bidder. It came in the mail yesterday and I'm just thrilled with it. Solid bolsters, Delrin handles, it's a very well built knife with great snap. The bale is missing so I gave it a light cleaning and oiled it up. It's a little bulkier than I like for EDC but maybe I'll sharpen it up and carry it for a while anyway.

Thanks gents. I can see why you like the Ulsters, T.J. I've been burnt a couple of times on new (to me) makers but not this time. It's not a collectible but it's in fine shape for the shape it's in.

There was a day when I wouldn't look twice at a scout/utility knife......now its my favorite pattern to collect.
