A dirty little secrete that a lot of folks who aren’t Marlin junkies don’t know is that these store brands have a reputation for being a tad more consistently accurate than the run of the mill 336. Not having that rear barrel band makes a difference.
Oh, and for the first time I saw a real live Winchester 71 in 348! It was well used but NICE. Way out of my economics, but it was nice just to see one.

Picked up, yesterday, another older single action chambered in .32ACP (7.65 mm)
All steel CZ M70 (Crvena Zastava Model 1970). Made in Yugoslavia.
nice little 3.7” barrel single action only chambered in 7.65 mm… has a thumb safety, a magazine disconnect safety, two 8-rd magazines and a period specific holster.
looking forward to some range time with this ‘little bee’ (which is what I read the Serbian civilians call it)
Former owner (an acquaintance) put a trigger shoe on it to help with perceived trigger pull. I’ve had trigger shoes on other guns and this one is a nice addition.
Here’s the other one (below) I picked up a couple of weeks ago… also a single action only .32ACP
A Spanish made MAB Echasa Model GZ (alloy frame) made circa 1962. In poor shape compare to the like new CZ M70 above, bit this MAB has a very, very good trigger… measures 3.5lb on my Wheeler gauge.
I usually shoot some run of the mill 71gr FMJ from PPU or PMC through these. I’ve had several makes and models of old shooters chambered in 7.65 mm… Mausers, Llamas, Berettas, etc. and Walther clones. It’s fun to to try them out. I buy, sell and trade a lot so I can experience owning and shooting many. I can’t afford to keep them all.
So many guns… so little time….

Didn't plan on going into firearms here on AAPK, but I was just browsing the for trade forum and someone mentioned a (Remington) Nylon 66 and how they are becoming collectible. I laughed because I have one in great condition (and it's box and papers) but never really thought of it as much other than a cheap yet reliable an fun plinker. Thinking I paid $70 for it back in the day but I just looked them up, and wow !
Same thing happened last year on my Marlin 336 ER (chambered for .356 Winchester), never thought of it in a monetary sense.
Paid some $350 for it in the 80's, and now they are sought after as far and few between.
Some of my other cooler ones were stolen years ago, I probably miss the Saginaw M1 Carbine the most , it was a nice example.
But the fools left behind an engraved spanish dbl-barrel 410, the Nylonn and the 336 and others that were more valuable, and I'm happy to still hold those.

Col, those are a couple of nice rifles you picked up. I grew up with a 1957 Remington 550-1. Still have it. Wonderful shooter. And it will even cycle the CB .22 sub sonic shorts (only 710 FPS). They are pretty much silent except for the bolt clicking. Sounds like a typewriter!
Make sure you do not remove the large sear spring screw. It's hard to get back in and you can easily strip the threads, and there's no real reason to remove it. It is lightly staked from the factory.
I only have one Monkey Wards / Western Field - it's a little .410 pump (Model XNH-480) - same as a Noble 70. They were made 1946 to 1971. It's a neat little gun, but not much use except to kill snakes. And even then, I would probably have to club them with it.
I hit the 12 week mark this week after my surgery. The doc gave the OK to resume normal activities (no word on when I can resume my abnormal activities ) Which means I am going to shoot sporting clays this weekend. I haven't shot since the league ended in September, and am chomping at the bit to get back in the field.
Make sure you do not remove the large sear spring screw. It's hard to get back in and you can easily strip the threads, and there's no real reason to remove it. It is lightly staked from the factory.

All Crosman, 1929-1976 (most in the 1950's and 60's) most of them 22 cal. (the only one later than 1964 is my own that I had as a teen )
I think only 2 are .177 cal.
Solid, fine woods, heavy duty and made to last.
All but one I beleive in good working condition too.
There is a first model 101 Crosman 1929
a 1960 SP160 Navy .22 training rifle, very kool with a match trigger, Williams adjustablle peep sight, monte carlo stock, leather sling (used to train troops and save on ammo costs - and this thing is super accurate still - lots of fun)
There is the first HAHN/Crosman BB rifle and a Hahn BB repeater pistol.
(Hahn ran Crosman at the time but the company didnt want to get into BB guns, preferring Pellets - So Hahn took it upon himself to get into the game)
Pellets dating back to 1930, CO2 and CO2 chargers, books, manuals, too much to list but here are some pics.

This arrived today at the front door. My first birth-year gun. A 1955 Spanish-made LLama chambered in .22lr
it is in quite good shape, can’t wait to get it cleaned and to the range for a workout. It operates smoothly so far and everything seems to work as intended so far.

I’ve contacted Winchester numerous times about it and they told me they do a run of .225 ammo ever so often but can’t say when that will be or where to buy it. I have 4 boxes of brass and will reload those but would like to have some factory loads also.

Yea Ken .257 roberts is kinda obscure also. I did find 1 box at a gunshow once but I refuse to pay the $125 the guy wanted. Robbery without a gun!!

Yes sir, I took it all down EXCEPT for the trigger group the day brought it home. I’m not typically skeert of taking one apart, but I’d read horror stories on the 550-1 trigger group.
