My pleasure monk! Coincidentally look what showed up at my house. My new favorite GEC, what a beautiful knife, thank you.
The picture should look familiar, it's yours.

Cough, cough, I can't breath guys, I can't breath.
You guys are grounded, no more GEC pics, I can't take all of this.
Monk, your toothpicks kicked me in the face with their beauty.
Thats scary... they don't have feet.

Monk,
The color on the stag toothpick (powderhorn, whatever) is AWESOME. Wanna trade out of it?

Great showing, folks.
Johnny, your photos continue to impress. Love the turkey feather background and that dogleg stag is looking good
Monk, is that powderhorn 'pick red stag or regular ol' burnt stag? It's a knockout with great color.

Nice postings!
Here is a #12 in Cocobolo - picked this one cause of the 'burled' look it has. Nice contrast
to the Cocobolos with the straight grain, which are very striking too. I am starting to look
at wood handled knives a little different.

I like some wooden handled folders, but it usually takes a bigger handle like a fixed blade to get enough grain on the handle to make it look good.
Burls are usually nice, but snake wood, Bokote, Amboyna burl and desert ironwood are usually easier to cut for a folder to get enough grain on the handle to be interesting.
GEC did a nice job of cutting the wood for the grain on that knife.

Nice ones, Trand. I've been giving a lot of thought to a 48 trapper jack. I like the long pen blade on those. I'm stuck on green or red...

Thanks Glenn. I prefer the jigging and color on the green one but the finish of the Northfield. I just added another pair of #48s to my collection and a new #23 Pioneer with ebony scales. Has anyone else gotten one of the new #23s? The pull on this one isn't nearly as strong as my other #23s. Its more like a 4 instead of an 8.

Very nice, Trand. Safe to say trappers are your favorite pattern?

Love the color on the goldenrod & blood red ones.
