Here is one I really like, in a not so common pattern.
What a great old piece there Ike .
It’s in what looks like excellent condition ! And a unusual pattern as you mentioned.
The Cutler that put that together sure had the touch . The work on those handles and the way he set the shield is truly craftsmanship at its best .
What a viewing pleasure ,bet it feels great in hand !

Great knife Ike, pretty scarce too, I've seen a few of those over the years but love the condition of yours.

Thank you, JP and John.
Full disclosure.....if you enlarge the pics you will see a couple of fine cracks, and also a small chunk of stag missing on the pile side. Having said that, I am still extremely happy to have it. I have never seen another and likely won't see one.

If I remember correctly, it also has a light etch.

You remember correctly, but you have probably never met an etch you didn't like!
Thank you for sending it my way, Roger.

Really nice old NYK Co knife. I have a OVB, HS&B knife I picked from cato on AAPK back awhile. It was posted back. I wanted to put it with your NYK knife. Hope it is ok. Pictures will enlarge nicely might be able to see trace of etch.

Have a few NYKCos, but here's one of my favs from the Boy Scout shelf.
From 1911, Both New york knife co and (early) Hammer brand stamps.
Picked up a period box for it too, not model # matching but I think it adds something.
Oh yea, forgot I had an original 1911 BSA handbook for this too, where the knife is described (i'll add that pic too). The handbook has it described and has an advertisement for it, $1 because it was deluxe ! LoL

Thanks Ike. I was kinda hesitant on it. I bought it on eBay and the blades are in really good condition for the pocket worn look of the bone. I think maybe back in the day the owner wanted to carry it just didn’t use it much??
