Hi guys! Just bought this 94OT. I like that it has a threaded (fluted?) bolster. Haven't seen this on any other 94OT's. Looks like the one on the fancy editions like the heritage ect. Anyone else seen an old timer with this bolster? Thinking it was one of those EOD ones.
Also, glad to see that traditional knive collecting is still very popular to alot of people. I'm trying to get a few of the Old Timers to finnish my collection and have noticed alot of people bidding on even the poorest examples in this line. It's great to know others share my interest in these, but it makes it hard to get any deals (lol). I'm collecting good used examples so I can use and enjoy them. Worst comes to worst I think I could get my money back out of them, but I'm not collecting as an investment. Carry on boys!

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. I'm not a Schrade guy (only have a few) but I do like those threaded bolsters.
Hak1911 -- Looks like I haven't welcomed you to the forum. Glad to have you here showing your knives.

I just scrolled through my Schrades (short list) and I have a 2331 Heritage Jack from 1985 with threaded bolsters. Very nice.

I like that 94OT.
The only Schrade knives I can find in my collection with Twin Threaded Bolsters;
Are the 1983-85 Heritage and 34ss knives.
I have a large number of Schrade knives, with Single Threaded Bolsters.
It looks like the knife could have been made in the mid 1980's... Ken

That's a good looking 2331 Jerry
I picked this one up on Ebay a couple weeks ago. It's the first Jack I've found with a 1986 shield.

I love the 4" knives; that one looks like a Mid 1972-73 Schrade 8OT.
This knife was like new. However, it had a big crack from the center pin.

HW's jigged bone is lovely. l like it better than the red stag, myself. Thanks for showing that one. He told me he doesn't really care to do it; it is dangerous to his hands.

I'm partial to just about everything Herman makes. The machine he uses was built in Schrade's machine shop, and he once told me that the only difference in how it's done is that Schrade's employees had to wear gloves. He just finished some jigged knives for me. I'll post some pictures when they arrive.

I am hoping to have some more work done by Herman, if I can ever get the old checkbook in order. Maybe when my uncle straightens out (You know.... the hunchback?).
Most of the knives in this thread are not really old Schrades, but this one tends in that direction, a pre-war barlow. Never been touched or used, a little atmospheric patina. Snaps like a varmint of some kind.

I guess it got put away wet at some time. It survived the abuse.

Went to a local auction yesterday and picked this one up. It was in a box of pocket knives, I couldn't believe it when I opened up the flap on the leather sheath, it had the plastic cover stuck to the knife yet and still had the factory grease on the blades and bolsters. It is a 25OT but no box. I haven't cleaned it so the photo's are going to look like it. Probably won't clean it either, Had to pay 52 big ones for it but I believe it's worth it in that condition. What do you think? Anyway, I'm happy. Terry

A great 3rd Generation display and a great folding hunter! Thanks for showing these most honorable Schrades, guys! I think my first Schrade (ever) (many years ago) was a 25 OT and that pattern is still one of my favorites.
