While that Parker-Edwards Bowie has been on numerous hunting and camping adventures with me, most of them have been east of the Mississippi. The Remington pattern Bowie below is the one that has seen duty all through the Bradshaws, the Supersistions, Kaibab, and the high desert. It belonged to my Granddad who was out in the bush every chance he got and took me with him more often than not.

That is a great stag handle Sas, ... it has a great natural "pommel" to it, that baby ain't slipping out of your hand ever!

I remember when My Grandmother gave it to him for Christmas about 1961 or 1962, I was 7 or 8 years old.

I've had my eye on their Eggan and Viking models for a while but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

All of my fixed blade knives have been posted here before.....I think.....but I like showing this one. This is the biggest thing you can call a "knife" before crossing into the short sword category. The 1849 Rifleman's Knife designed for the U.S. Army mounted riflemen in lieu of a full fledged sword or sabre. This one is a replica very well done by Cold Steel. I'd love to have an original but my bank roll isn't big enough.
