Bummer that Thompson Center is out of business. I broke a pin in my G2 Contender this week, but found the part at the Numrich website.

While I have the G2 apart, I am doing a rebuild so I ordered several parts while they still have them. Shipping was $7.95 on about $50 worth of parts.

This fail is surprising, Unk. I know Beretta manufacturers and sells high quality shotguns with high price tags. Would they offer a replacement and fix on something like this? There used to be a Beretta shop here in Alexandria, but the blue bellies ran it out.

Hi Redrider. The part was less than $20, so not expensive. I think I am at least the third owner of this shotgun, so I don't think there is any warranty. There's a lot of horse trading among the avid shotgunners I shoot with. Someone is always selling a shotgun so they can buy a new one.

Very cool, I just have an old Daisey squirt gun with a wornout bladder.

I have a worn out bladder but no gun to go with it.

Hope yours is in better condition than the Daisey's, it dry rotted.

Somewhere around here I have a Mattel modeled after the Colt Single Action Army that I had as a kid, but over the years, the handle portion of the frame broke off. I suspect the nearly 50 years of being left under a shed, coupled with probably not the best storage in the 20 years following, and the fact it had no grips probably all played a part. I put some roll caps in it right before the break happened, and it would still fire them!

The caps they make now tend to, quite frankly, stink. I bought roll caps from a supermarket, and half the things didn't fire. Ring caps aren't much better. I remember reading about something how the amount of gunpowder they could put in them was highly regulated.

Nice group! I had to look twice at the Hubley modeled on a 1911 and whatever the Baby Browning clone is.

Very physical week at work. Saw some rough 4WD roads that ended in incredible views and heavy work on arrival. My office...

Nap and gun cleaning therapy today. Started with my two SIG SAUER P220 5".

Top in pic is P220 .45 Combat TB DA/SA (threaded barrel). I shot with a suppressor once and amazingly muffled report with no ear protection. Carrying it today.

Bottom in pic is my usual EDC. P220 Full Size 5" 10mm DA/SA which weighs in at just short of 3 pounds loaded. Good club if ammo runs out.

Chose .45 to carry today as it is a lighter weight. Heavy or not that 10mm is my first choice when safe opens. You can also grate cheese on grips for lunch if needed.

A nostalgic carry today...

Dad's Colt Python. 357 on left hip side draw. Mernickle leather and Hornandy 125 grain hollow point with 2 speedloaders.This leather also accommodates my Colt .38 Diamondback as well.

Extremely special firearm to me, memories attached. He bought it in 1980' for $423. Gun manufactured in 1965' based on serial number.

This is my "if you could only have one gun" (but fingers crossed because the Diamondback is staying as well).
My Dad and I had so much range time on this gun with all the Father/ Son memories attached. My Dad was old school as am I.

Like a old favorite pocket knife. At the risk of sounding corny, feels good to carry.

The Python is a mighty fine revolver. Definitely don't let that one slip through your grasp!

Definitely a keeper, I think they are the best looking revolver ever made. Prices for them on GunBroker are through the roof. I ever hit the lotto I'll get a couple of them but I ain't holding my breath.
