My newest catch from the Bay is a no longer made, 4" AG Russell "Deer Hunter."
I thought I was getting a 3" AG Russell "Bird & Trout" to go along with my 2" AG Russell "Hunters Scalpel." Fortunately for me, this knife was mis-identified by the seller.
AG Russell is still selling the 3" Bird & Trout but $60 is more than I'm willing to pay. Therefore, I'm still on the hunt for a good used one on the bay.
I thought I was getting a 3" AG Russell "Bird & Trout" to go along with my 2" AG Russell "Hunters Scalpel." Fortunately for me, this knife was mis-identified by the seller.

I never noticed the lack of the sharpening choil having never used my Berettas. That is a desirable feature.

Has anyone else noticed that when TV programs re-enact crimes, like Forensic Files for instance, they tend to use props that aren't necessarily the same as the actual evidence? If there is a "large hunting knife" involved they almost invariably show one of two particular knives, The Ka-Bar fighting knife or the Buck 119 Special no matter what the original knife may have been. I wonder what the manufacturers think of that. Maybe I just watch too much crime TV.

...I tried to do some research on your topic of TV programs that re-enact crimes and fixed blade knives .... 
I'm not sure I've solved any mysteries... in fact ... I think I am even MORE confused now than when I opened this thread today.... ....
