Let me start out by saying that I do NOT collect beer cans. However, in the 40 years that I worked for Ma Bell, I did find a few beer cans under various dwellings that I had jobs at. The beer cans I found were mainly aluminum. But, I also found some regular, steel beer cans, and a few cone tops. I did keep the steel and cone top beer cans. But since my retirement in 2014, I have sold almost all of them. Turn back the clock to the year 2010. I was working in the basement of a residential apartment building. The building was located in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles. In the basement, there was an old, non-functioning incinerator. Previous to this, I had looked inside plenty of old, non-functioning incinerators, and NEVER found anything. This time, this incinerator produced the items in the first picture posted below. The items are 233 beer cans and a couple of old beer cartons. ALL of the items were removed from the incinerator, by me, over many, many lunch breaks, spanning two months (January-February 2010). The VERY brief story, and the first picture posted below, were featured on a beer can collecting website. I do NOT remember which beer can collecting website it was. It was known as "The Great Los Angeles/Koreatown Incinerator Find." Except for the 4 beer cans in the second picture, I did sell ALL the beer cans in the top three rows of the first picture. I have also sold quite a few, but NOT ALL, of the rest of the beer cans in the first picture (apologies for the quality).

i didn't try to collect bikes, but somehow some showed up over the years. The one with the front basket and yellow and red pin striping is my bike from when I was just old enough to ride a 26 inch bike. Dad traded my 24 inch in for a used 26 inch and I've been riding it for 60 some years. The one with the two rear baskets is a rare two bar Elgin that can go for serious money. The chain guard sells for $150 and the seat is around $100. There is a Twin Bar Elgin club for collectors of this 1930's model made for only 4 years. The test just got accumulated over the years. Now shown and in the shop being repaired is a two seat, 3 speed trike that you sit down in. It needed transmission work and I need to replace the windshield and horn (squeak type) and probably the rear view mirror. The bicycle built for two needs some major cleaning but rides well. The racing bike is my son's.____Dave

The Cholula hot sauce - last pic in your first post - with the big wooden knob stopper. That stuff is on every Mexican food Restaurant table in Houston. I used to keep it in the house when we lived down there. Don't see it much here around the Fort Worth area.

Cholula or Tapatio is on just about every Mexican restaurant around here sometimes both.
My favorite is Tiger sauce, but it's pretty mild so I heat it up some.

Here in Mexifornia, I don't pay much attention to what hot sauce or hot sauces are available at any kind of food serving establishment. From fancy restaurants to fast food joints, dive bars, roach coaches, etc., I ALWAYS have a bottle of my favorite brand of hot sauce in my vehicle, and I use it.

Don’t really collect pins,
Obviously I worked for Gatorade they gave the pins for the events. You will also notice the Jonny walker walking man. I worked for Diageo for 16 years.
The cool pin for us experienced men or women but it was a guy thing. Is the twin falls jc pin of no other than Evil Knievel snake river pin. The Evil pin came too me from my older brother him and friends were at a hotel in Chicago/Chi-Rac. Hawking Cubs autograph’s and out comes Evel I may even have an autograph on a one dollar bill somewhere.

I've collected vintage photographs for many years--Civil War era cartes de visite, cabinet cards, real photo postcards, early-mid 20th Century snapshots and Kodachrome slides. Examples:
1) I bought this snapshot (her surname edited out on the scan by me) at a photo show a couple of years ago. I was intrigued by the lip prints and thought it might be another avenue of collecting to pursue (I've only found one other since). I was able to find this woman on Ancestry and Find-A-Grave. She lived into her 70s, was married for 50 years, and had several children and grandchildren. Last year I found her obituary which yielded a granddaughter's name. I was able to find the granddaughter on Facebook, and we had a nice conversation via messenger in which I shared scans of this pic. She said that her grandmother was her best friend and that she had never seen this pic before. I told her that based on the lip prints perhaps she had posed the picture for a boy. Then after it was developed, she kissed her lip prints onto it, and then he kept it. Perhaps a first boyfriend type of thing. I offered to send her the original but she declined saying "Its kinda cool that her pic is part of a collection somewhere. She'd like that."
2) A day out with feathered friends. Unknown version of slide film processed in December 1968. (My collection).
3) Asian-American beauty ready for her date. Kodachrome slide in a red-border, gray mount--early-mid 1950s. (My collection).
4) Navy wife. Gray mount, red border Kodachrome slide, early-mid 1950s. (My collection).
5) A working man, his lady (or sister?), and their Pontiac. Gray mount, red border Kodachrome slide, early-mid 1950s.

I had a neighbor in Cumberland who had a basement full of bikes and a pickup truck with sideboards full of bikes. One of the rascally neighborhood families had 3 boys and a daughter. Two of the boys would go into the guy's basement, pick out a bike and ride it until it broke. Then he would return it and grab another. One of the coolest was a homemade chopper with long front forks and a banana seat. It was a wheelie monster.

BH, thanks for the car info! Glad you like the pics. I tried to upload a few others, but it refuses to load any, giving me an error message that "The submitted form was invalid" although the type and sizes of the files are very similar to the ones I posted before. Oh well...
