Thanks for the kind words guys.My work usually takes me past several antique shops and I know the owners pretty well.They will usually call me if they think they have something I might be interested in and a lot of the time they are right.A couple of times they bought stuff that was a little overpriced and I bought them anyway but told them the reasons the items weren't worth what they paid.They appreciated the learning and became more choosy afterwards. The few extra dollars are well worth the good will it creates.A couple of the owners are(or were)knife collectors and that makes it even better.One of them is also a car enthusuast and I have traded off my paintwork for some very interesting(and expensive)knives that I otherwise would have been unable to afford. I am currently painting a show car sign for him so he can display his Corvette in the upcoming Detroit Autorama.He has several knives I am interested in and hopefully we will both come away happy.

Here are several of my favorites. The top two are seasonal; one, a short blade, built by a friend of mine Rob Stevens in Canada, the second one everyone should know, a Shrade 152. The bottom one, a Gerber Blackie Collins, has been with me on every paddling trip, Canoe, river kayaking or open sea paddling for a Loooong time....

This came from my grandpa. It says made in italy on the sheath but has nothing on the knife. Any guess on who made it? It sure has skinned alot of squirrels.

The Forester Camp Knife, Stacked Leather Handle, was inspired by a favorite Bob Loveless design. It has been added as a Special Limited Edition in the Outdoor/Bushcraft series.

I myself never heard of the Forester before
It has the look and blade design of the WL Marble / Loveless Trailknife
I see alot of Barkies with the Marble's influence as far as patterns go

Tank, that's some knife! Might even make old Jim Bowie himself proud. I have relatively few fixed blades in my pile, mostly users. Keep saying I'm going to dig them out, take pics and post them on AAPK but haven't found the time yet. Hope you're whipping that flu.
