Those are some nice finds, that Case looks pretty new and unused!

Found this guy on the clearance rack at Menards today for 6 bucks....do I need it? Nope. Could I pass it up? Of course not...

I need to get down to Menards and check the clearance rack. I love those Vics along with the Floral pattern. GREAT snap and very sharp.

I stopped by my favorite junk/antique/knife/fishing shop and picked up this pile. The Bucks were $35 each and he threw in the Stevens for $90 more. I didn't need any of them but I needed to buy them just because.____Dave

Another CASE knife with a stamp NOT posted on the WRCASE sight for fixed blade knives.
Stamp is identical to the 1930's survival unscrewing top CASE knife I had a while back...

Scott, The section on Case fixed blade knives (written by Bradley Wood?) in Sargent's 7th calls this the serif stamp. He says it is commonly known to have been used through the XX era (1940 to 1964), but was also used prior to 1940. The earliest use of this stamp is not known but dates at least to the mid 1930's.

Don't let this get out, but the North Star Blade Collectors show is still producing some good deals on great knives. Todays haul is a Marbles slab handle kids knife with sheath for $40, a Case 8 dot 6111 1/2 for $40, an Imperial fixed patch knife for $10, a Diamond tool adv. piece for $20, a Boker congress for $10, a Catt linerlock (blade a little short but still a cool knife) for $10, a Case XX 06263, really nice for $10, a LF&C Rough black 0251 small coke for $10, a Parker Cut. Co Hillbelly that swivels to open with a second exchanger blade and sheath for $30. Then Larry Hayes came in with a repaired knife I had sent him (the Case XX Scout 640045R with the little belt pouch) that had shrunken composite scales and now looks terrific for repair cost of $30 (He works way too cheap and we've been trying to get him to raise his prices so we can get our knives back quicker and he can retire and just work on our knives). The Ulster I picked up at a garage sale on the way home for $2 and I'll have a ball cleaning it up. We meet every 3rd Sat. of every month if anyone wants to join in on the fun. ____Dave

Stopped at a little bait and tackle/pawn shop today. Spotted a big box of knives, all but one was a stinking import . but that one is a Boker USA 9885 , I'd call it a stockman. Had a broken spring on the spay and sheep foot. The ol' boy said they don't get many good knives any more. So I was lookin' at some shotguns and he said here's some more junk. In that box I found the Colonial LK95 stainless, the Case 223-6 fixed blade (broken handle) and then the little neglected paring knife. Made a deal on the 4 knives and am most pleased with the paring knife, it's a Case! The little Case can be cleaned and repointed, clean the Colonial, clean and fix the cracked black handle on the Case 223-6. That one must have a chrome finish don't know anything about them. The Boker is almost like new, except for the broken spring, the blades still have factory edge. They handles are delrin.
Best I could do today, nothing like Dave and Scott's finds.
