All About Pocket Knives

This pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I recently purchased. It now becomes my latest example to join this topic or thread. It also became the latest example to join my general pocket knife accumulation. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it turned out to be a keeper. It is an UNBRANDED, three blades, 3 1/4" closed, stockman, pattern or style of pocket knife. If this pocket knife had a tang stamp or tang stamps, it doesn't now. The main blade has no half stop, but it does have a good opening and closing snap. The secondary blade has no half stop. It does have a decent opening and closing snap. The third blade has no half stop, however it has an ok opening and closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

That is a good looking "Maverick", Skip, nice looking wood. I would carry that one for a while.

You couldn't tell by the image, but those smooth red covers on the Boker Congress are made of bone.

They fooled me for sure.

My Jeffinn rehandles. Love them all. Mostly Stockmans, couple jacks.

I got these three Colonel Coon stockmans made by Queen in recently in a collection I purchased, all are listed in my store. They used some beautiful stag on these.
I have more coming. Just bought another collection of 21 Queen made knives. Some amber carved stag bone knives in there and at least one of them is a stockman.

Very recently, this "stockman" pattern or style of pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did not buy the group or lot for this particular pocket knife. However, I was very surprised and quite pleased to discover it among the group or lot of pocket knives and it did get added to my general pocket knife accumulation. It is a POWR-KRAFT, three blades, one tool (a punch or awl), one tang stamp, 3 7/8" closed, two springs, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade back tang stamp says, "POWR-KRAFT (over) USA" The blades and the tool, all open and close properly. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition and still has a lot of life left in it. I gave it a very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

More beauties SSK, really like the antlers on the top and bottom one. Would they have been made by Queen? Great lookers regardless. Spotless and drool instigators.

Never heard of that brand, but very interesting blade compliment. What impressed me was the way it sort of won you over. That says it all. Congrats on a nice pick up.

Yep made by Queen on all these. It tells. Very high quality.

It is a KEEN KUTTER, three blades, three tang stamps, 3 1/4" closed, two springs, long blade pull, milled liners, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp, VERY FAINT, has the KEEN KUTTER logo or trademark symbol and says, "E.C. SIMMONS (over) KEEN (over) KUTTER (over) ST. LOUIS (over) MO." The secondary blade back tang stamp has the KEEN KUTTER logo or trademark symbol and says, "E.C. SIMMONS (over) KEEN (over) KUTTER (over) ST. LOUIS (over) MO." The third blade front tang stamp has the KEEN KUTTER logo or trademark symbol and says, "E.C. SIMMONS (over) KEEN (over) KUTTER (over) ST. LOUIS (over) MO." Beautiful bones on that old Keen Kutter, and I like that long pull and swedge. Cool old piece with lots of life left in it.

I see two long pulls on that Challenge jtx, do all the blades have one? I have a few with main blade long, secondary a crescent. Not a problem, but I guess I like when they are consistent. Nice bone too. I love old Challenges.
