All About Pocket Knives

Very recently, this "stockman" pattern or style of pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did not buy the group or lot for this particular pocket knife. However, I was very surprised and quite pleased to discover it among the group or lot of pocket knives and it did get added to my general pocket knife accumulation. It is a POWR-KRAFT, three blades, one tool (a punch or awl), one tang stamp, 3 7/8" closed, two springs, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade back tang stamp says, "POWR-KRAFT (over) USA" The blades and the tool, all open and close properly. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition and still has a lot of life left in it. I gave it a very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

A wharncliff and a punch! That is a useful old knife. Montgomery Ward was the purveyor of that tang stamp weren't they?

However, I was pleased to discover it among the group or lot of pocket knives and I did add it to my general pocket knife accumulation. It is a KEEN KUTTER, three blades, three tang stamps, 3 1/4" closed, two springs, long blade pull, milled liners, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp, VERY FAINT, has the KEEN KUTTER logo or trademark symbol and says, "E.C. SIMMONS (over) KEEN (over) KUTTER (over) ST. LOUIS (over) MO." The secondary blade back tang stamp has the KEEN KUTTER logo or trademark symbol and says, "E.C. SIMMONS (over) KEEN (over) KUTTER (over) ST. LOUIS (over) MO." The third blade front tang stamp has the KEEN KUTTER logo or trademark symbol and says, "E.C. SIMMONS (over) KEEN (over) KUTTER (over) ST. LOUIS (over) MO." The main blade has no half stop, but has an ok opening and closing snap. The secondary blade has no half stop and no opening snap. But, it does have an ok closing snap. The third blade has no half stop or opening snap, but it has an ok closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition and still has a lot of life left. I gave it a very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Back in 2020, this "stockman" pattern or style of pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it most definitely turned out to be a keeper. It got added to my general, "foreign born", pocket knife accumulation and it did get added to my EDC rotation. It is an Imperial, three blades, one tang stamp, 4" closed, two springs, "stockman" pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "Imperial (with crown) (over) IRELAND" The main blade has a SOFT half stop, a GOOD opening snap and a GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade has a SOFT half stop, a GOOD opening snap and a GOOD closing snap. The third blade also has a SOFT half stop, a GOOD opening snap and a GOOD closing snap. ALL three blades are EXTRA SHARP!! This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is a Kabar, three blades, one tang stamp, 3 1/4" closed, two springs, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp, MISSING the "Kabar", says, 1092 (over) U.S.A." It appears that "Kabar" may have been ground off. Possibly a FACTORY SECOND? The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The secondary blade does have a WEAK half stop. The secondary blade does have an OK opening snap. The secondary blade does have a GOOD closing snap. The third blade does NOT have a half stop. The third blade does NOT have an opening snap. The third blade does NOT have a closing snap. This pocket knife is in GOOD condition. This pocket knife received a VERY minor cleaning. I took some pictures, here it is.
