That's a pretty neat old knife. How long is it?

I had purchased it with intent of being a "shop" knife but that duty here can be a bit brutal. Now feeling like it may have to reside here in the house in a more environmentally friendly role. My assumptions are that knife was made between 1940-1964 in Perry. Still not 100% on bone vs delrin but the red hot needle says "bone". The pic of the tang stamp looks like it may have been struck twice (once lightly) as there is a bit of a duplicate look to it (could be camera?). Tough to confirm with naked eye and loupe because my eyesight isn't that keen but I believe I can see a bit of it. Here a couple pics.....
Nice score. I was just noticing the long bolster and wondered if that would qualify as a Barlow? Interesting that you say it's a 10 pull, impossible. I know what you mean but I really like the strong pull, makes it feel like it will never close accidentally on you and that being without a lock to me is saying something. I love those slip joints you can barely get closed. Just feels good to me. Thanks buddy! I thought of the pattern as more of a trapper than Barlow, but you might be onto something there. I know as much about "pulls" as I do about rocket science, hence my 10 posting, all I know is it takes all I have to pull the blade out, and I'm very conscious of it's detent when I'm closing it, but like you I really don't mind it and for the same reasons, it makes the knife feel solid both opening and closing! Your reasoning is quite fitting bud, cuz I just got an all Damascus folder that is suppose to be a slip-joint, but it doesn't lock open and is quite loose on the opening/closing with no half-stop, and it would take very little to press down on the unlocked blade and close it on my fingers!
