Thanks gents. I bought that knife due to its Buck brand, unusual appearance, and good price. I seriously doubt I will use it on our smallish whitetail (200 lbs. is a monster here) as the blade is too wide for my liking and the handles are a bit thick for my comfort (stick with the Buck 118 much of the time). OH

I'd buy that knife based on it's brand & looks alone too OH.
I send Thanksgiving wishes out to you and yours OH, and the same goes out to bertl and the rest of the boys here on the porch. Dunno about you guys, but I'm looking forward to mass quantities of food and time with my grandson tomorrow. I'm officially in charge of beans for tomorrow's meal, (ham beans of course), so off to the kitchen. Have a wonderful holiday all. ::tu::

Cool, those are getting hard to find complete. I managed to find a can of oil, (half full), and the stones, but no box or instructions. Good find! ::tu::

Nice find Dimitri. I had one of those Buck kits years ago, all I have left now is a little residue of oil in the bottom of the can - always thought the look of the red oil on the white stone was badass. OH

Thanks, the front of the case cover has some melted spots on it like it was in a tackle box and something made of plastic reacted with it and damaged it but it's not too bad. I already had a can but I never seen a complete kit before.

Dimitri, the stone in mine was pretty light, nearly white, but I have seen them in various of hues of color - guess washita and arkansas stones have a lot of variance. OH

I am going to wash it off and I will let you know what color the stone is ::tu::

Also I just noticed the original price sticker on the end of the case $3.25

Buck 118 in D2 blade steel came in the mail from SC today. I've been wanting to try a Buck made with D2, this SFO from 2014 was available in my favorite Buck deer hunting pattern. OH

My buddy Billy cleaning a doe with the Buck 118 I recently gifted him with - he likes it so far. I helped out using a Buck 121 Guide (more modern, stiffer version of the Buck 121 Fisherman) - I didn't care for it as a deer skinner and deboner. At 5-1/2" the blade is too long - you could really tell that when cutting out the backstraps, the leverage on the cut was quite different from that of a shorter blade. I'll stick with the narrower, shorter (4-1/2") blade on the Buck 118. OH

Buck #322 Congress in Yellow Sawcut Delrin, a 1995 SFO sold only by SMKW. This one is in perfect "unused" condition. A knife you don't see every day, (or every week, month, year or decade). Christmas present to myself, been hunting for one these for over two years. I already have the Black Sawcut Delrin version, (both hard to find), but this one is much prettier.
I found this here on one of the AAPK stores. If you collect specific models, do yourself a favor and check out the "local" AAPK Stores, ya never know what might turn up.

I've been looking at it for a couple of years and Santa finally brought this 113. I don't hunt but it looks like it would do what it's designed for. Buck calls it the "Little Skinner".

I can vow for the 113 as a great skinner as OH convinced me and she worked well with my Buck .112. But she was short lived as while at hunting camp during bad whether and bad card playing skills she ended up in the pot never to be recovered ::facepalm::

Very nice Jerry, I think you'll like the 113; a lot of blade in a compact size. Mine came extremely sharp without need for initial touch up. OH
Ps. Now you know about card sharks Dogg - I can see losing money, but losing your Buck Knife!!

Nice find on a rare 300 series; I've seen them, but never been willing to come off the coin for one.

Right on the heels of the #322 Congress came this '94 #310 Whittler, so this is currently the "newest addition" to my Buck family. Why? I wanted a 300 Series other than my display-only models to carry, and this is it, (for now). Cleaned up nicely after the photo was taken, the master blade shined up really well compared to this photo, (that is dried up tape residue on the master blade). Tight blade(s), sharp, snappy; doesn't get much better.
