No problem Aimus, the three MAIN eras most collectors are concerned with (without really splitting hairs) are:

Schrade Cut. Co. - 1904-1947
Schrade-Walden - 1947-1974
Schrade - 1974-2004

Is that bad??
Well with the recent arrival of the GDOT 34 and the silver & black AAPKer,
looks like a good time to show another of my favOrite 34OT.
From 1984, 25th Silver Anniversary (of Old Timer name) Edition.
Schrade pulled out the stops for this one.
Has smooth antique bone handles with sterling silver shield & bolsters.
Coined edge shield and fluted bolsters. Milled liners on spring side. Anniversary blade art. Schrade over Walden over N.Y. U.S.A. tang stamp.
Housed in redwood display accompanied by blue & silver velour knife pouch.
Serial number on LF bolster. 0001-5000
I feel fortunate to have two complete 34SA kits & one loose, knife only.
When it arrived I found it had an extra embellishment on LF bolster, a monogrammed "J" had been added.
One kit has the seemingly more common (almost black) dark brown 'antique' handles. The other kit has the lightest 'Antique' I've seen so far.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Yep, I lucked out, have two complete kits and one loose.
I thought about toting the loose one but with 2 Case,
SAK Cadet and a Queen 9105 Jack in the EDC rotation not
much reason to add a 34SA.
Here's another batch I feel lucky to have accumulated.
1983 Heritage barlows in all 3 colors.
I heard somewhere but haven't confirmed that the green was
a 1983 item only. Red & Brown only for 1984 then Schrade replaced the Barlow with the 33 Jack for 1985-86.
I have a few other 1983 Heritage patterns but barlow the only complete set.

Since that system is 'foolproof' must be
how come it works well for both of us.
I assume you be are referring to the ole
'raise the bid by a thousand dollars with
5-10 seconds left' method .
Natyurly only snafu is when 2 or more
like-minded fools do it at the same time.

Here a few of my Schrade acquisitions earlier in 2009.
Traded a fellow cCc member out of his whittlin' kit.
And a fleamart vendor has been bringing in a few of his
for my consideration. So far, captured an LB1 & a 153UH
carbon steel version.

Those are some great looking knives WJ. I found a LB1 not long ago myself but honestly didn't know that was what it was. I'm still learning about the Schrade knives and I have a question for you if you would care to answer. How can the Schrade USA marked knives be identified as carbon steel or stainless steel when Schrade had stopped putting the "+" mark on some stainless steel knives's blades without notice to the public at one time? I've seen some Schrade UH knives with indubitable carbon steel blades before but I'm at a loss when trying to ID the stainless steel from the carbon by the marks or a lack of a mark. Thanks.

Yes I'm glad to help with info... when I have it.
We may need to wait for Dale or Eric or one of
the other ofishul Schradeologists to arrive.
I'm still just down in the Schradeaholic category.
Last I heard the + after Schrade was the SS indicator.
If Schrade quit doing that this is first I've heard of it.
Seems the more I learn the less I know.

Aimus, I don't recall Schrade substituting carbon for stainless or eliminating the + , although I could just have a fatigue induced mental block at the moment. They DID substitute stainless blades on a lot of the much later Old Timers (should be carbon) without the public's knowledge though. The problem is the public was more knowledgeable than they thought

after admiring many wonderful Peachseed bone Cut Co's one finally fell into my price range. It's got plenty of patina but very full blades and the bone shows very little pocket wear.
Sometimes an Ebay listing with poor photos and weak description yields a beauty!

hey paul if i had my choice right now that would be the exact era of schrades i wouldbe collecting.i absolutley love their peach seed jig!

Thanks Guys- I was lucky to get it my max bid was $67 put in over one hour to go in the auction. Two weeks ago there was a Cut Co EE jack with jigged Black composite scales with a clip blade (full blades) that I forgot to bid on went for $22.00

That's the way it seems to go, one slips by you and that's the one somebody gets a deal on.
When you're primed and ready so are 15 other folks.
Oh well it's only money...and you can't take it with you.
Actually you can, but it has to be declared as extra baggage .
Here's my latest Schwadie caught as a 2nd chance offer.
Like my other Heritages, this one is a 1983.
7801 Green Muskrat w/papers & box, no sleeve.
Looks like the pile side scale could have been used on a brown or green.
Brown center w/green around the gills.
May be it's a rare scarce Heritage magician's kanife!

Recent arrival is this 24OTX,
apparently pen knife on the 34 frame.
Smooth black delrin w/brass bolsters, liners & pins, Xtimer shield.
Black coated SS clip & pen blades. Papers copyright 2002.
