Ok Keith going lead you in the right direction to get some cool info and ideas on your knife handle material and handle logo. Look up the pattern # KA1932-
Can you say Bakelite handles?

Not saying your knife is a paring knife, LOL but looks to be the Kleanblade Bakelite handle material,(black). And is embossed with the Remington logo in the same design. Tell me what you think.

Sorry for my delay. Look in the C-30 catalog. At the Kleanblade knives especially the paring knife. I think you have a very special knife Keith.

Thanks Rocky. I'll check it out. Since your my go to guy on the knives that make me scratch my head. This one has aluminum handles, neither blade locks, All though it has something that resembles a locking mechanism? It has a file on the back side of the screwdriver/wire stripper, also has marked on the blade that look to be a measuring tool. Interesting knife. Have you seen one like this before? Super great snap and tight.

Very cool knife. I feel like I have seen one "likened to this" but am unsure to the clarity of the memory. Just to be more clear... one will never find all the knife styles/patterns that Remington made in their catalogs and they often stated this very sentiment in most of the catalogs we have as reference tools. What I do see first is that this has a different tang stamp from the ones I generally see and know...the UMC under the Script lined Remington in circle with made in USA around it is 1935-1940 circa. However yours has no UMC under the Script lined Remington more than likely a Dupont transition knife in the same circa.

I'm not sure what to think of this. It's sure enough used. Looks to be original tang stamps on the blades. I need to do more research.

Keith, your knife is all original. It's an electricans knife and the liner lock on yours has been bent upward it should be lower, this would engage the screwdriver blade when it was opened, the only problem is aluminum is soft and easily bent if forced. Most likely someone opened the blade and didn't know how to disengage the lock and forced it closed bending the liner lock.
It's not very smart to have aluminum,a great conductor of electricity, as handle material on these type of knives. I have seen very few over the years so I doubt they made/sold very many of them. Below is a picture of one I have in my collection.
Nice knives and interesting posts in this forum, keep up the good work.

I recall these style knives being called radioman's knives. Like the TL-29 of WWII. Many companies besides Remington made them and they started around the time of WWI and developed into the TL-29 of WWII. Probably not meant to be used much around high voltage?

If we dig a little I think your picture is the one that I remember seeing before. Thanks for posting it. Dimitri, what do you think of the tang stamp? Late 1930's? I will be adding this to my drawing archives of Remington's varied circa. tang stamps. Thanks again for your friendship, leadership and guidance.

I found it interesting. There has been 3 of these knives posted here. One by, Remington collector, in the knife lure, TL-29 forum, page one. Then yours Dimitri, in the where are all the Remington collector, page 16 and now mine. All 3 have the same tang stamp. Interesting.

Keith the cool part of that tang stamp is that it is not shown in Goins nor other Remington tang stamp illustrations resources. It is legit don't get me wrong, it demonstrates the variety of stamps Remington used, for example the stainless steel stamp on some knives. At count Remington has around eight or so variations of tang stamping used on production knives. I love to learn and discover new information on an amazing company!

I have even seen stainless stamps with one S at top inside circle and stamps with 2 S's, One at top inside and one below inside.
