Jerry and Dale, I now understand "Open Stock" ::dang::
I have a 33OT with green handles, Dale may have seen a 33OT with black handles.
This is some of the late knives Schrade were working on, all with LTD blade stamp and that shield.
This is some of the knives in my collection, with the LTD blade stamp and the shield, like your knife.

The only knife I can find, is an 833UH in my 1991 display. It does not have the LTD blade stamp.
Some of the Copenhagen knives had black handles.
I have six or seven different 4" (8OT size) knives with black handles.

With it's brass bolsters, it reminded me of one of the tobacco knives. Don't know why. It's not like I know anything about Schrades but that's the first thing that popped into my brain cage.

Doug, Ken, those are some fine looking 33's. I'm glad you posted them. I may have to keep my eye out for a green one now.

Jerry, I found this Heritage knife on eBay for $6.
As you can see it had a large crack in the red bone handle.
I sent it off to Dale, for a little clean-up.
This is what Dale set back... Ken.

That is a great old Cutco. I can't see the etch on my monitor; what does it say? I wonder when they stopped putting the prestolite keys in these knives; possibly very shortly after 1920? In other words, when did the acetylene headlamps disappear? I suppose they marketed the wrenches for a little while after that. The jigging on that bone is definitely pre-1930. Thank you for showing it.

Harold and Glenn. Really great examples. Harold yours with that old jigging style is not seen often in that condition. Glenn, I've not seen that pattern with peachseed in a Cut Co.

Glenn, that Wharncliffe Cut Co. is the cat's pajamas. Confused me at first until I remembered that originally the pattern (handle profile) was referred to as Wharncliffe and not the blade.

What a treat for the eyes! Thanx for showing! However, I must say the humidity in the Houston area might preclude safe storage for such gems, and I am offering safekeeping here in the crisp dry air of the West. ::nod::

Cal has a point but since he has limited space, I'll volunteer to provide climate controlled storage for the overflow.

I greatly appreciate the concern, however, as you can see they are safely snuggled in a nice climate controlled environment with some of their friends already.

Seriously, thanks for the kind words, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for these old wooden handled knives of all marks.

Beautiful knives there, msteele6. I really enjoy looking at them.
Your knives resemble mine in many ways. Although I think yours are in better condition.
