All About Pocket Knives

Nice find Scott. I got one last month that Schrade made for Remington, but mine's broke. It's not as much fun that way. I'm getting it repaired.___Dave

Brought these at a boot fair (flea market) just recently .Alpaca argentine gaucho knives.At a guess (cause I haven't measured them) the larger one is about 30 cm long and the other17 cm long . Silver coated I think.

I have a question I would like to ask .the smaller of the 2 argentine daggers has been polished by someone in the past.it has left a white hard build up of whatever in the grooves of the knife handle and scabbard .any ideas on how I could remove it without damaging the knife. Thanks in advance.

Here's a strange one I've never seen before. It's a Hammer Brand 3-blade, with an interesting combo. I've never seen this layout before, and it looks unused also.

Here's one I found in a tool drawer that I don't get in very often.
Adolph Blaich, San Francisco, Razor steel.
I don't think I've ever seen the stamp before.
Goins has a write up on it.
This is a well built knife.

Found these today. The belt buckle knife is purty cool.,

Picked up the Kinfolks fixed and the Pal pen knife at the NSBC meeting and the Imperial on the way home at an Antique shop. I was getting spoiled at the last three meetings with really nice stuff and we are back to more regular meeting stuff. The Pal has long pulls on both blades and the Kinfolks doesn't appear to have been sharpened. The Imperial looks like it was sharpened with a road grader but it has full blades and awfully nice scales. The Kinfolks was $40, the Pal $5 and the Imperial was $15. I came home with cash in my pocket for once. I'm kind of surprised at how close the jigging is on these three different make knives. ___Dave

This sounds like the residue left behind after using a cleaning paste to remove superficial staining. I suggest using an old toothbrush or other brush with nylon bristles. The white residue should come off with vigorous brushing.

Super good deal for the 3 blade Case Hobo & sheath. I have the same which i bought new for over $100.
Case has now changed to a 2 blade version i think.

Found this German Victorinox (SAK GAK) military issue knife. I added the bead and lanyard.
