Thanks. This find makes up for a few that I paid too much for. To top it off it really is a fine knife, very well made, and still very usable. I have determined a tentative date of mid 50's to mid 70's for this model. Stopping by that estate sale was completely on impulse, glad I just happened to be driving by and decided to stop ::ds:: .

Baykeeper, that's the kind of "find" story that motivates us all to keep on looking.......lot's of pawn and gunshops, flea markets, antique stores, yard sales, junk stores, ebay wandering, etc....we all keep looking one way or another for the next find! OH

Nice pickup's Scott, Ludwig, and Derek.

Picked up today at the NSBC club meeting Fixed blades; 1) Joseph Allen & Son, 2) Case long tail (1932-40) 3147 sailors knife in ebony, Folders; 3) Rem R3563 stockman, 4)Rem. R6465 pen, 5) CaseXX 82053 pearl pen, 6) Catt. 22089 dog leg jack, 7) Catt stockmanC236, 8) Queen LB winterbottom bone #36, 9) Valley Forge cel. whittler, 10) Brantford jack. The Brantford needs some cleaning and the Catt C236 has a crack in the rear scale and the Rem 3563 has a master blade that is a little short but otherwise they are all pretty nice and I stayed under $200 for the whole pile so I'm pretty pleased with my day. ____Dave

Found a couple interesting knives today for about $10 each. The Imperial is not usually a knife I get excited about finding except when they are this perfect and I believe it is an older one. The bone is gorgeous. The rooster nutter is a H.S.&B. with full blades, the Buck 500 has been tipped a little but otherwise is nice, the herbertz is near mint and the Chicago Cut. P13 has a few scratches on the master blade but otherwise looks unused. I didn't even expect to be knife hunting today.___Dave

The easy open is the one I'd pick out of your great find today. Looks like takin' the doc's advice and not workin' for a spell has allowed you to root around and find some good ones at a decent price. Good job, Dave!
