Great photo of that young lady and her bird and gun.

All these turtle shots are great. Doglegg is that you in the last photo?
Doglegg the turkey was shot at 50 yards with an Armcor 12g. I'm not familiar with Armcor but it obviously did the job.

The turtles I'm showing are pretty small. 6 or 7 inches.
The turtles in your post look pretty big.
I assume that last picture is a picture of you. You look very contented there.
Nice to see a picture of you.

Armscor is a company out of the Philippines. They make some reasonably priced and quality 1911's and several other things. A pretty good company.
And yes the last old mossy back is me.

Some of these turtles were probably 10 to 12 inches across. Thanks.

One of my favorite cayote pictures. Taken across a warm pond in Kelly Wy. Heavy steam from the pond on a really cold morning, ducks and geese on the pond and off in the distance taking it all in and thinking about lunch is Wiley B. himself.

Deer everywhere, Homer? Some folks love that, but I have a couple of sisters who live in the country and the two animals they cannot abide are armadillos and deer! Cool photo.
Very nice coyote photo, Doglegg.
Great deer and turkey photos at the feeder, Monk.
Everyone is posting photos of beautiful animals, so I am going to change the direction. Yesterday I caught what is probably the ugliest fish I have ever caught. It is a Black Drum, maybe 30 pounds though I did not weigh or measure it. It was bigger than I normally keep, but there was an old man (my age) fishing nearby. When I hoisted the fish for a photo he yelled that if I did not want it, he would like to have it. I gladly gave him the fish and he told me that he had 14 nephews and nieces at home to feed. I noticed later that he caught a substantial drum himself: with 14 dependents he needed a lot!
We wound up with a mess of White Trout, which are a perfect fish. Easy to clean and taste delicious! Had them for supper.

I'm with right there with your sisters Mel, I enjoy watching them, but they are aggravating things. My point with the photo is that it ain't just us country folk having trouble with them, one of my buds lives in the middle of a big sub- division and they wear his flowers and scrubs out. Oh well here's the Easter bunny hiding eggs.

by the way nice little guppy you caught there.

I always like seeing rabbits, Homer. Very occasionally one shows up in my yard, but with all the cats around here they do not stay long. Very cute bunny!
Fine looking doe, Doglegg!

Nice drum, Mel.
How did you catch that fish? Snagging, foul hook, or did it bite a hook?
Thanks for sharing.

Had a good walk one hour this week.
‘Twas a beautiful day indeed.
Then, another evening after work produced these.
‘Twas a good week outdoors, indeed.

Tony, that fish bit a #1 hook with a Chartreuse Big Gulp Swim Mullet and a small piece of brined shrimp. Here is a photo my wife snapped as I got it up to the boat.

- Black Drum and Gulp
I do cut a half inch of the front of the Gulp because the hook is a bit short for that bait. The Black Drum are not common, but not rare in that location.

- Black Drum and Wife
Here is one my Wife caught couple of weeks ago. It was small enough that we fried it that night. If we had been catching any of our preferred fish we would have let it go.

I love mushrooms and that looks like a delicious haul! Just being in the woods or on the water makes for a good day, but when the mushrooms are popping up or the fish biting, that is a treat.
