A custom made for my wife many years ago by MUDD SHARRIGAN of Wiscasset Maine. Dont know if he is still active; he must be at least ninety by now. He was a founding member oe the NOMADS hot rod club in Massachusetts in the early 1950's. I striped a vintage Bentley fnr his brother many years ago.

I'll kick off this week's Wharncliffe Wednesday with a fairly recent addition to my ever expanding Case 117 Swayback sub-collection and the only one I have with Damascus. I like the Burnt Cream Barnboard bone handle

Beautiful Damascus Swayback, Q!
I've been to a couple shows and added a few 38s & 47s to the GEC Wharncliffe Sub-Collection recently, so I'm posting a group shot with those two patterns.

Beautiful knives gentlemen!!!
When I was asked to post my one and only Wharncliffe here it reignited a search I started years ago. The canoe pattern Queen Oar Carver pictured below (internet photo). Since I've started actively searching for it again I have ended up purchasing several other Wharncliffe knives (funny how that happens, isn't it?) which I'll post here soon but no sign of a Queen Oar Carver. I figure this is a good thread to get the word out that I'm looking for one. Trade or purchase. Thanks for your time.

Good l@@king Wharnie Charlie! I will keep an eye out for one at the Harrisonburg VA show.
Did they make them with different colored covers?

I'm not sure if there are other colors, the one in the photo is the only variation I have seen. I appreciate you keeping an eye out, they don't show up for sale very often.

Wish I could go back to 2018 in the wayback machine, Squach. I had one of those that I sold right here on AAPK ($60), but I can't remember who I sold it to. Maybe whoever bought it will see that you are looking for one and be ready to pass it along

FWW, the only cover I have personally ever seen this knife with is what they call "Black Cherry Delrin".

That is about that same time frame when I slept on a bid on ebay and a sniper slipped in at the last minute to scoop me. If I remember correctly the bid was at $105.00.
I appreciate all the eyes I can get looking for one.
