Me and my youngest on the flight deck of the USS Nimitz. He did 4 years down in the reactor plant. The trip was 2007, Hawaii to San Diego. It was nice to actually see some of the stuff I built in the past.

I thought I recognized that caped crusader. That picture was taken in front of the court house in Metropolis, Illinois, right down there on the Ohio river.

I worked for a defense contracter. I worked on the MK45, the pointing missile launchers, the vertical launcher, OTO Melera, Crusader program and some others.

WOW....that Caped crusader brings back memories. I spent a lot of time in Metropolis as a youth.

got up into the 40's today, so I got out and did a bit of hiking. After being a slug most of the winter, I can tell already I'm gonna have to start out slow, my toes and arches are complaining right now because 10 inches of soggy snow acts alot like sand when your running on it/climbing through it (and I'm one of those bigfoot impersonators that runs around the woods in Vibram Trek's. google it, you'll get the joke.)

Those Tiger Cruises are fun. Did you get down to the reactor? I didn't - I don't think I would have ever found my way back up!!!!!!!

I couldn't go down in the reactor area. You needed a security clearance and the one I had didn't cut any mustard. I had free run of the rest of the ship and found every dining hall they had. More pictures of the trip are on the link in the signature line.
