All About Pocket Knives

Here's a fairly recent find... Torrey Serpentine (or Peanut) Jack (2 7/8") - MOP "Torrey's Best" etched on master... interesting as that branding was more associated with their razors if I am correct and personally had not seen it on a knife...

Nice Torrey you have there, they are rare in folders and with the etch more so. Thanks for posting that one!

Mike, those two abalone ones are just stunning!

Thanks guys, the Pocket Pard's are hard to find and getting them with the original display boxes was really lucky. The handles were advertised to match the Parker pens of the same era, 1920's I believe. The hardware on them is gold filled and they never really caught on I'm told because the price was too high for the times. I think they sold for 7.00 each but am not sure.

I have more Utica's with abalone handles that are etched, need to get them out for pictures.

I really like that Torrey peanut, Lee! Beautiful pruner in great condition, John! More very nice Utica's, Mike, the dogleg is nice but I really like the bone one above it.

A fellow knifer owns this knife and he brought it to the Lexington Ky.Show last weekend to torment me.Ulster Ellenville.

4 line Camillus lockback with Sword Brand etch.

Maher & Grosh deep stamped hawkbill.Pre 1900 tang stamp.Big stout knife made with a heavy blade.

Really nice knives Roger, that Ellenville is an early tang stamp, bet you were tormented over that one.
