I had to put this in the Beat, Abused thread too. This one breaks my heart. I looked for one of these for about 2-3 years before I found this one. Obviously I will continue to look for a nicer one at some point. It’s a Red Devil electrician’s knife. I hate to spend even a couple bucks on a knife in this shape, but dang it I didn’t have one.

I was at the antique mall the other day looking thru one dealer's pile of mostly Chinese pocket knives, some beat up old US knives with broken blades, and then I saw this thing and grabbed it for $14. This is a Schrade Walden 204S, and being in brown Delrin, it's likely from circa '68-'72. It had a dark patina everywhere which I gently buffed off to reveal a knife that really may have never been used, basically minty. The 204s is Schrade/Walden's number for the standard TL-29, same exact spec.

I was instantly impressed by the incredible build quality, fit and finish, walk & talk, snap, etc. The quality is superb. Who needs a GEC, lol?

I can see why this is such a popular favorite for real daily use, EDC. The spear point is just great, very thin grind so doesn't need much of an edge. Screwdriver blade is a great beater tool for so many things it seems.

It's a little bulky in my jeans pocket, but not too bad. Definitely a new favorite knife to carry and use.

Help needed with this one

I am not saying this is or isn’t a fake. I am asking for help determining if it is real. I have never seen a sword brand electrician’s knife & I think it’s cool. I’m hoping it’s real, but the blade tang looks reshaped to me.

I have never seen one of these that the screwdriver blade didn’t lock open.
I asked the seller if the screwdriver blade locks open and this was his reply:

Both blades are on slip joints. Both blades lock out but it is a slip joint so it doesn't fully lock. And it doesn't release by pushing the main blade.

The tang stamp looks good . It’s an early Sword Brand. The one I have the electrician’s blade was unlocked by pressing down on main blade ,in the closed position . You then could close the electrician blade . A lot of times these get broke (The locking mechanism) because people didn’t know how to do it properly so they forced it closed. Hope this helps

Exactly what I needed, thank you. I specifically asked if the screwdriver blade unlocks by pushing down on the main blade & his reply is the one I posted.

A couple of days ago, this “TL-29” electrician or lineman, pattern or style of pocket knife, arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. It turned out to be a keeper. It did get added to my general, CAMILLUS (related), pocket knife accumulation. It is a CAMCO, one blade, two tools (a wire stripper with a screwdriver tip), one tang stamp, 3 3/4” closed (not including the bail), two springs, “TL-29” electrician or lineman, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, “CAMCO (over) USA" The main blade does have a VERY GOOD half stop. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a NASTY closing snap. The tool does have a VERY GOOD half stop. The tool does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The tool does have a NASTY closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
