That's a pretty nifty custom knife box obviously made for those specific knives. I'm assuming the knives are held in place by rotating the little screwed-in cut-out section?

Yes Q the piece of wood with the screw rotates so it holds the knives in place when you fold the case up. Pretty neat the way it was done.

F'n Rooster. Has the sweetest action and click, rock solid lock up, no wobble or movement at all. And decent antlers to boot. Hand me down from an old blade brother.

Ever since forgetting to keep my "lockback coop" securely locked and letting some fine specimens escape, I've had to re-stock with these fine beauties:

This AG Russell Cattaraugus LB just showed up and is flawless, less than fifty, decent looking, good action solid lock up. Great all around. Looks quite different in sun and shade too. Sun pics are on "Post your new pickups here" thread.

Funny how sometimes several different versions of a certain knife pattern will suddenly show up all at once. I wasn't on the hunt for any more Parker lockback whittlers, but this is the second one I found in as many weeks...after not seeing any of these for months (possibly even years). I mean, it's not as if it's a recent release or anything. But, it's a very cool knife...and well made, too. From what I understand, it's not necessarily a simple pattern to manufacture either. Too bad there aren't more models with a wharncliffe master blade like the Case/Tony Bose collaboration lockback wharncliffe whittler.

I've had and like those Parker lockbacks.Great value in those.

RR lockback whittler and Gerber myth that I really like. It even has some semblance of a half stop.

Yes they do! In the picture, you can just barely see the 2nd lock metal showing... it is further back from the master blade lock.
