Cool jay photos, fellows. When I visit the Rocky Mountains I always enjoy the Stellar's Jay and Gray Jay, along with the Magpies and Clark's Nutcrackers.

Thought this was a neat picture, off the game camera, this week. Two morning dove, caught, just right, in the sunlight.

great game camera picture, Doc B!

I’ve been so disappointed after the hurricane that I didn’t put my cameras back out after I retrieved them. One had the plastic housing broken and one other must have gotten too wet and would not hold the time and date. We have one more week of deer season and it is with “primitive weapons.

Probably the rarest bird pic I have ever taken was at Fort Davis state park, a birding wonderland. I got this Montezuma Quail. Native to Mexico and a few of the SW states.

Neat looking quail, haven't seen one of those.

Yeah, Ernie, I see it. It's up there. How we gonna get it out?

Am greatly enjoying the bird photos. The two standouts for me, and for the same reason, are the 2nd one down of FRJs as the sunlight just catches the wing of the otherwise totally black bird. And then the wonderful dove wings of Doc also illuminated by the sunlight. Great stuff.

And before I could post the above, along came doglegg with the superb quail shots.

10-4, Scott, a Pileated Woodpecker! We still have them, even after the storm, such an interesting bird.

Thanks for showing it.

I see John spotted him, too!

I was selected by his parents to attempt talk with this boy who has selective mutisim. He only talks at home.
I'm referring to the dark haired one. He whispered, but it is progress!!
Anyhow, his dad had work to do so I spent a few hours with them being boys.
Somehow I was able to create a paracord bed. And it actually held my fat butt!!

Scott, that's a pretty neat feat...with the paracord...and pretty neat the time you take, with the kids!
Now for the weeks game camera highlights... I don't see too many hogs....although I've seen more in the last year, than previous years. By the looks of this girl...looks like more may be on the way. Also, every now and then, I catch a view of a bobcat.

Scott, good for you. A whisper is progress.
DocB, always exciting to see a cat. I live in DFW metroplex and I have seen 10 or11 in the last 20 years. And always exciting!

Scott, great mission. Keeping those youn fellas active is keeping you active! Your time invested in their lives will live on the rest of their lives.
Glad for both you and the young men.
Side note: that T-shirt weather sure does look appealing.

Great mission Scott. Did the non verbal young man make this one too?

Scott - looks like some very cool missions for the boys!
Doc - I really like the Bobcat photo. I have lived in Bobcat country for sixty five years and lived and worked in the woods for decades. I have seen exactly one Bobcat in that time. They are pretty common here judging by the tracks I have seen and by the numbers that the Bobcat hunters kill with dogs, but they sure are secretive.

Thanks Floyd. Not this one....wasn't invited. All kids are invited but I am moving more towards "focusing" my time so
I don't ignore kids because there is too many.
I do have an appointment to talk to him again this Sunday though!
