Good Morning Everyone!
Dave I agree with everyone else, go fishing! Leaving that boat there for that long may be crime in some states. ::hmm:: Also my dad had a truck like your's and it was the best truck in town. People wanted to buy it from him all the time because they knew everything that counted on it had been taken care of and it wasn't going to break down on you.

I've got my grandson William that drove up from Belton, TX here just to visit with us this weekend. It's always a joy to see one of the grandkids come and visit. Everyone have a blessed day and be safe... :D

It's a big day here on Stingy Creek. Miss Vicki and I are marking our 45th anniversary today. We haven't made any specific plans, but I do intend to take her out for supper somewhere. Cleatus (my dog) has recovered enough to be able to stay here for a few hours by himself, so that frees us up to go out together for a few hours.
Phil, I had an echocardiogram this past Wednesday. They apparently didn't like what they saw. I've got a heart valve that's not working too well. I'll be meeting with my cardiologist this coming Thursday and I'm sure we'll be discussing what's next.
Next Thursday is also the day work is scheduled to begin on my garage project. The initial excavation work will include removing part of the concrete pad we currently park on.

Phil,
Congratulations to Miss Vicki and you, 45 years of blessings.
My last echocardigram resulted in a stent, I was getting checked for my knee surgery and ended up having to wait 6 months after the stent. Never know what's happening except that the Lord is still in charge. ::tu::

Good Mornin' and Happy Father's Day!
71° this morning, looks like a nice day shaping up. Got west and north yards mowed and some of the backyard done, a bit wet down toward one of the ponds. If today's rains aren't too bad, we'll tackle the rest of it tomorrow. Got 0.3" more rain right after dark.
Eldest daughter and her Weimaraner puppy came in yesterday afternoon, school teacher daughter visited from Panama City will be back this morning for church as will our son and grandson from Thomasville. Another major holiday without Miss Joy, still working my way through this different way of life. Thankful for children that care.
Hope all FCD crew has a meaningful day.

Good morning. It looks like we are in for another beautiful sunny 70 degree day. The kids are going South to one of our, used to be, favorite spots to find antiques and knives but the walking got too much for Jane and I and the knives just aren't there anymore, so we are going to pass on going with. Yesterday Jason got rid of most of our scunk problem with eliminating 7 of the nasty critters. I'll check the traps to see if we got anymore overnight. When several towns in the area have issues with skunks they pass out live traps and encourage residents to trap them and take them out to the state land near us, and we have to deal with them. One year we have 70 to get rid of before the summer was over. I had a game farm those years and skunks and raccoons were my mortal enemy. Scott, I hope you and your family all did well traveling, and Phil, I pray your anniv was good. Yesterday I way over-did working on a retaining wall, determined to get it mostly done, and should have stopped about 4 hours earlier. I did get a lot done but I'm paying for it now. The good news is that it caused me to have the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. For you Fathers, have a great Fathers Day with lots of family around.____Dave

Good Mornin'!
72°, 98% humidity, foggy at 6am. Sun just broke through the fog at 7am. There was 1.1 inches in the rain gauge this morning. Drought conditions are slowly being overcome.
Had a wonderful Father's Day, our 3 adult children and one grandson were with me in church. Our son cooked steaks for our dinner, mighty good! I really enjoyed listening to the adult children's conversations. After dinner the 2 daughters headed back to their homes. Grandson wanted to shoot the Ruger Bearcat that I've had for way over 60 years. I'm surprised how well a 10 year old shoots the little .22! Loading, shooting, punching out the fired casings, one at at time with the ejection rod, gives opportunity to discuss gun safety. His dad shot and he asked his girlfriend if she wanted to shoot? She responded, "I don't want to embarass you! You've forgotten my nickname was Annie Oakley when I was a kid!" She then shared with me, her dad had her shooting a .22 single shot rifle when she was 6 years old. ::tu::
After they left I took a long Sunday afternoon nap, complete with a nice rainfall.
Made my normal Sunday evening phone calls to Miss Joy's sisters.
Got through another major holiday without my bride. Sure is different. ::hmm::
Need to check the south yard, it needs mowing but my be too wet in a couple of spots to do it properly. Always jobs to do here at Starvation Plantation even when the yards are wet. ::tu::
Y'all enjoy the day, soon we'll notice they are getting shorter.

They sez some afternoon thunder bumpers we'll see.
Wampus was here on his throne seemed to have a good appetite, he hardly ate last evening. Crazy cat.
I don't know what all we'll get into day cousin Marilyn is visiting for a few days.
I had a fine father's day son came over and visited for a good spell.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

More storms yesterday afternoon/evening, 2 fatalities from a tornado about 30-40 minutes NE from us. We got by with an inch and a half of rain and only 1 limb down. Cool and cloudy this morning, the lower temps are nice after some miserable days last week.

Have had some really busy days in the past week, think I will take it easy today and try to tune in some World Cup action unless my wife has other plans for me. I know there aren't any soccer fans on here but you gotta like some of the stories on the news of the positive experiences of the many visitors to the U.S. and seeing our great country through their eyes.

Good Morning Everyone!
I had a great weekend with my grandson visiting with us. The wood burning I did with the knife on it was for his new apartment he just moved into. Not much going on around here today. Have a blessed day and be safe... :D

I had the pleasure of visits from both my daughters and both of my granddaughters along with their dad yesterday. It was not an easy day for my son in law. His father just passed away last Monday so he's still grieving the loss and it being Father's Day didn't make it any easier on him. We all had a nice visit, and I enjoyed getting time with my girls. They have busy lives and I don't get to spend nearly as much time with them as I would like.
My other son in law did not attend. He's been sick for several weeks with a mysterious malady the doctors haven't been able to diagnose. He gets extremely dizzy for no apparent reason and no warning before it starts. He's also been having chest pains along with the dizzy spells. When it first started, they thought he might be having a heart attack. He was taken from work by ambulance to the hospital. Tons of tests have provided no clear answers as to what's causing this. They say his heart is fine. We keep praying he'll get some answers and that the medical folks will be able to get him straightened out soon. He's been off work for several weeks now. He's a very hard worker and he's having a hard time with doing nothing all day.
Thanks to all for the anniversary wishes. It was a good day as was yesterday.
