Uberti's have a 5 year warranty, so I went to Uberti's website and filled out a repair form and submitted it and they were all over it in no time. I got an email from them apologizing for the problem and sent a repair authorization number and even a PREPAID shipping label to send it to them via FEDEX. So I sent it off Friday and we will see how long it takes. It is now at the Benelli service center in Maryland. Looks to me like their customer service is top notch. I have sent other brands of guns in for factory service, but this is the first one where they prepaid the shipping. The FEDEX counter person said the shipping and extra insurance would have cost me $35-$40 if I had paid for it. Like I said, we will see how long they have it and I will will report when I get it back.

I got my Uberti back today, it appears that everything has been taken care of. The work order sheet says that the firing pin was binding on the plunger. They stoned the firing pin and the plunger and test fired it. With it being more than 20 below zero here today, I have not shot it yet. But one can see that the problem it had is no longer there. When the hammer is cocked and let down on an empty chamber, the firing pin can be seen protruding as it would when it fires correctly. No problems with the way Uberti handled this, only a gripe with FEDEX. Uberti sent it back to me on Feb 10 by 2nd day air and it took 5 days to get here. Oh well, it is back and all is good.
