I spotted your Iron Mountain knives browsing this thread and thought they look great and are distinctive or unusual. I'm curios during what time period they were made,who made them and anything else you know about them.

They were very a effective stabbing weapon but not such a great slashing tool, and they were very poor at heavy tasks like opening ammo crates.
The Army liked the blade design, so it was used in the M4 bayonets for the M-1 carbine, the M5 bayonet for the M-1 Garand rifle, the M6 bayonet for the M-14 rifle, and finally the m7 bayonet for the M-16 rifle.
