Excellent.....
Thank you Smitty.

Yes, I believe that "DM" stands for Deutsche Mark(s).
The pocket knife was probably manufactured before the
Euro became the accepted currency.

That is correct Skip.
Deutsche Mark. The change from DM to Euro in the cash form was on Jan. 1st 2002 so your knife is at the least, older than 2002. Three years before that, (Jan. 1st 1999), they started showing things like bank accounts in both Deutsche Mark & Euros to give people 3 years time to get used to the coming change. The exchange rate was 1 Euro = 1,95583 D-Mark.
Nice addition to the Zoo Skip!

This afternoon, this pocket knife becomes the latest zoo resident. It is a "MADE IN GERMANY", single blade, 4 tools, "Deer Head" pocket knife. It is stamped MADE IN GERMANY. It needed very little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Yesterday, this pocket knife became the most recent resident in the zoo. It was shipped from Morocco. So this pocket knife, in addition to the two shipped from Bulgaria, the one shipped from Poland (all previously posted) and of course, the Germany connection, truly makes this an international zoo. It is a "ROSTFREI - INOXYDABLE - M.I.GERMANY" (made in), 2 blade, 4 tool, "Deer Head" pocket knife. It is also tang stamped "INOX" on the secondary blade. It is missing the bail. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures of it and here it is.

Another fine addition to the Zoo Skip.

This one seems like they were trying to be a little more ornate at the bare end of the handle.

Today, this pocket knife becomes the most recent resident in the zoo. This one was shipped from Germany. It is a "ROSTFREI - INOXYDABLE - M.I.GERMANY" (made in), 1 blade, 4 tool, "Deer Head" pocket knife. It came with it's original packaging (opened). It's strange that there is absolutely NO description of the item anywhere on the packaging and no price tag. The pocket knife can be easily removed from and returned to it's packaging without damaging the packaging any further. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are. The last picture is of another zoo resident that I obtained back on March 9 (it's posted). It was shipped from Bulgaria. It too has VERY plain packaging, but it has a price tag.

Very nice Skip. It's no April Fool for sure. I remember the other one you posted from Bulgaria, similar packaging.

This is one of the knives I received in the POS exchange from KLJ77. It fits in with my collection of camper/scout type knives and also fits into this group with the deer on the handle material. It is German made and 3 5/8" OAL closed.
