I received it as a gift back in the late 80s and carried it for years.

Thanks Marco. I still carry it on my belt every now and then. It's very easy to open this knife one-handed without thumb stud, flipper or assist, none of which were as common in the 80s as they are now. That's one of the reasons I've always liked it.

Yah, 1-handed opening sure wasn't prominent back in the 80's Charlie, you were quite fortunate to find one that does! I have a few Parkers scattered throughout my collection, but the two in the pictures are my all time favorites, I could hold these 2 knives all day long and still not get enough of them! I'd sleep with em' if I could! LOL! Neither knife can possibly be opened 1-handedly, but since I don't actually carry any of my knives I can sacrifice that feature for their good looks!

Those look like they're a hand full! Beautiful knives! I like the long pull on the tanto.

BTW, I learned to open lock-back knives (some of them) carrying Buck 110s/112s. So when I got the Parker it was second nature. The amount of blade left exposed when closed makes it easy to get a pinch on and the rest is just thumb pressure to bring it up and lock it. Keeping the pivot pin well lubed helps too.

Gorgeous Moki Jamie. I have a feeling any Mokis you decide to list will all be long gone prior to you listing them, they're that nice. I'd bet that now that you've seen and handled one in person you're the latest Moki convert!

Thanks Mark and Marco, Mark I was about to purchase one of your blue handled Moki this evening but ended up buying the Withrow that you had consigned, but the Moki are outstanding, until you handle one you don’t understand how good they are.

Roland, I was just browsing this thread and read your post. I have one of these original Catt Jumbo Whittlers that the A.G. Russell used to model his knife after. This is the Cattaraugus 32959. It has a 100 year old patina, not shinny anymore but the blades are full. This is one of my favorite knives.
