Roger, that serpentine doctor is the best.

Pearl Cattle knife = Sunday Dress knife, wow, excellent score & beautiful knife. Rare & sought after.
And, a Serpentine Doctor's knife with etch. I have not seen a serpentine one before. Most uncommon pattern.
I feel a bit envious seeing such fine old knives. There are none anywhere in Canada ! (except in the homes of a few collectors)

Paul.... that's a classic lookin' ebony jack with with what looks like nearly full blades. Gettin' tougher to find such gems... way to go....
Mike.... that ram horn whittler looks just like the one I acquired from Roger... he posted it on page 34. Since it turns out yours has the double pulls on the main blade just like mine... the pattern must have been intentionally made this way even though, with mine at least, its too difficult to use the long pull to open the blade, especially with the "bear trap" like spring.
Roger.... that Ulster serpentine doctor's knife in horn handles would stand out in any collection. Nice score!!!

Picked up a rare variation of the mountain trooper .
This one is an honest decent example .

Literally just won this Ulster 63. Should be in the mail to me tomorrow, Monday. This is my first, non-Camillus, Camillus 72 variation that I've obtained. Only obvious "issue" is that the shield is gone. I am going to try and come up with something nice to fill the shield space with, ala Doc B. Just picked it up at the post office. Will give it a gentle cleaning, replace the missing shield and post the "after" pictures.

Wow, what a beautiful vintage knife. At least 80 years old and it looks close to mint. And, no cracks in pearl. This is a knife that comes with the responsibility of maintaining it's pristine condition. I'm jealous.

I bought these two Ulster knives earlier this evening. An Ulster 55D "deer head" pocket knife, which will fit nicely into my menagerie or zoo. I also picked up another Ulster 63, yet another variation of the Camillus 72 and a variation of the Ulster 63 itself. This is my fourth Ulster 63, but my first with the pattern # stamped on the other side of the main tang stamp. The first three pictures are of the Ulster 55D "deer head" knife and the last three pictures are of the Ulster 63. When I receive them, they will get a cleansing if needed. I will post MY pictures in the appropriate location(s). These pictures are the seller's.
